Hello all i have a question regarding power usage, my cfl is 200 actual watts, so would having two 100 watt incandescent house bulbs turned on be costing me the same amount as it would to run my cfl 200 watt?

It's not oregano

Yes - a watt is a watt no matter what is using it, so it would cost the same.
I swapped all the bulbs in my house for CFL or led, and the total wattage I saved probably more than makes up for the watts that my CFL grow is using, especially as I seem to be the only person in our house who ever turns a light out when I leave the room. (Dad rant over lol)

Mention Labs Dexter and they will who Labs the ripper lmao.

Them temps are really good, I find flowering time aswel if night temps stay at 20c and day like 28 or so the plants grow allot more vigorous. In my case anyways.

How's is everyone today it's one day till I get to open a small prezzie lmao more exited than the kids

I feel you, not a dad myself but my girlfriend likes to leave house lights on lol. Yes i was toying with the idea of replacing all my house bulbs to 15 watt cfls rather then incandescent 100 watts, should save me a packet.

I have been under feeding them, that's the reason for the droopy leaves. I think it will set me back a week or 2 but I have fed her up this morning so I'll see how she goes

Another question, i know im full of them rite?? Lol..

I bought some multipurpose compost 20 litres, but i didnt realise that it contained peat. Im sure someone told me to avoid peat based soil. Do you think my plants will be ok in there (i just rolled the bag down, punctured bottom for drainage repotted or rebagged rather and watered1450872458426-106753171.jpg 1450872512399-107547405.jpg 1450872583601-1309361864.jpg )

Glad your clone worked out just try and take on of each plant

Last thing you wanna do mate, smile and drive on.

(golden rule) a grower must really do is not to attract any attention mate.

The wetlands I'm sure are a heavy soil mix and they need perlite,

I use mg root boost potting mix it's the best no perlite needed and no slow release food, just helps you roots lol I start feeding at second week light feed then by week four you can go all out.

Peat based soils you will get mg deff soon because as it dries the ph goes down instead of up.
They hold allot of salts, in my experience mixing allot of peat for mj is you'll need to leech well with water first until ph matches the water going in then add your nute water, it's a pain buddy.

That's just in my little 12months tial and error. Sometimes I wish I joined here at grow one rather than at grow 6 lol, I would have left it for the garden and grown my self some blueberries lmao, tho it is good for seedlings and to clone.

Ahh. Well.. Bugger. Ill have to use it now, i wasnt going to give any nutes during veg. I have some bloom booster, (blue crytaline powder not sure what it is exactly but my friend told me to just add a pinch to water every other water during flower) its my first grow im supposed to make mistakes rite? Lol ill steer clear of peat based next time. Im not ph testing anything this time around ill save the advanced chemistry for my next attempt. If i get mg deff what will it manifest as and how would i go about treating it? Would a simple veg nute take care of that?

Okay still no pro as long as you not to pay much attention to me lol

, but that soil is rich, and no nutes needed just water until the plants is not fully green from head to tow,

Only blue powder stuff I came across is miricale grow vegging nutes but it's rich in nitrogen, post a pic of the powder if it is then I would not use it too strong in nitrogen.

That's a no no in flowering buddy,

If that's all you can get next time investment in perlite is ideal mj loves airy soil.

as long as you can keep her happy jobs a good one for first grow.:bigjoint:

I took me grow 7 I think was my first stress free plant lmao.. And un defoliated :hump:.

If you have any of these pop up then ask the pros for advice but I can help you with a link that's handy to have.

Its more crystaline then a fine powder and it is for flowering cannabis, it cant be miracle gro as it cost my friend a fair amount to buy around 20 pounds i think, ill take a picture of the product but i only have a small amount which is not in original packaging. 1450878037983-106753171.jpg my friend spilt water on it so it is a little damp and there are a few specs of soil in there from his grow medium.
