I have a 3 part GH formula with Cal-Mag.

First grow.

Do I return this crap, get a 1 part solution to make my life easier or stick with my 3 part and quit my crying?

Thanks

2 and 3 part solutions exist because they have to. Often times they use calcium nitrates along side magnesium sulfate or ammonium phosphate and all those chelated micronutrients. If they were going to make a concentrate with all of those in one, calcium precipitates(calcium sulfate, calcium phosphate, etc.) would form and you'd get a useless bunch of calcium.

It might "make your life easier" as you say, but the multipart solutions are more complete.

Perhaps you should "reverse engineer" a quality 1 part and show us how incomplete it is?...for being incomplete it sure does grow healthy plants.

I've got a lot on the list, so you better believe I'll be getting to it. Feel free to post in that thread any specific ones you want me to do first and I'll make sure I get to em faster.

Are you doing hydro or soil, soilless? I used GH Flora 3-part and it worked really well. I followed the so-called Useless schedule. I wrote more about it here the other day. I was in soilless (Pro-Mix HP). I pHed to 5.9'ish in veg, 6.1'ish in flower.

I switched to soil and use a more organic'ish source of nutrients (in my sig). I like the taste better. (Some people say nutrients don't affect taste. I don't know. But, myself and friends at the time distinctly noticed it.).

For what its worth op...ya there are usually some precipitates in the jug,but it doesnt seem to make a difference, except in your wallet.

My one part, maxsea all purpose, has no calcium. I depend entirely on my well water to supply the needed Calcium.
Have you had a water quality test done to determine what concentration of calcium your well water has? Genuinely curious actually. If you haven't, I recommend it.

Im sticking with my two part base nutrients. Iguana grow and bloom. Every strain I've grown seems to love the shit. No issues with nutrient burn either. The grow is 3-1-3 and bloom 4-3-6

Hi MrGreen,
FoxFarms Kangaroots at each transplant and then their Grow Big for Veg state with some Epsom salt. Cal-mag at flowering start their with Tiger Bloom works for me....Everyone else has great suggestions also, ya just got to fine tune what works for you.:hump:
Happy Growing.
