Every plant I put under the 1k turns to shit...
It looks like a deficiency,
But it happens to every plant I put under the 1k
I have the light 3 feet away
Temps at cannopy
75°

They yellow and die off... I put this one under the light 3-5 days ago and it was lush greenimage.jpg

Here is what they look like in a later stage
I just can't figure it out...image.jpgimage.jpg

I've been givin em a light dose of the veg for a few weeks
And some of em a light dose of transition
image.jpg
The more healthy looking plant in my original post^^^above has only had plain phd water and very small amounts of veg

As for the fan, I'm fairly certain I have good ventalation? I have a 6in 400cfm fan pulling air through the hood out of the tent... And exhausting out the window..
Temps never go above 80°image.jpg

And to answer the question about the light, I've grown nice mothers under t12 doing the exact Same as I'm doing under the 1k mh

(Pic) of plant I grew under t12image.jpg
It's been frustrating me to no end
I've spent a lot on a setup and had nothing but failure

It's costing me a lot In power to keep these yellowing sickly plants going

Everywhere I read says to let 20% of what u water in to runoff and that's what I've been doing
But it seems I gotta pour a lot in to get 20% runoff

And the top of soil always seems to dry up before the bottom pots feel semi heavy an top two inches are dry

(This is the Soil I'm using)image.jpg

I pulled one of the really messed up plants up to see what the roots looked likeimage.jpg is this root bound?
Is my soil too packed?
Do I need rocks at the bottom of my pots for better draining?
I've got a new batch of clones I just started to see roots on and I'm so afraid to put em in the tent because I don't wanna keep wastin time, plants and money...

This plant I grew from bag seed
And it was green N lush
Put it in the tent with the 1k and boom yellowing up 3-4 days inimage.jpgit only gets worse from here...

Please help

Is the 1k simply too much light ?!
I don't see how that's possible

From what I read, it looks like deficiencies and toxicities ...
I'm so confused

Another thought I had was I'm using white pots and from the looks in the above pics the roots are deffintly touching the wall of pot (I'm new so I'm not sure if that's considered root bound?) but could the light be possibly penetrating the wall of the pot since they're white? I know roots aren't supposed to have light....

Anyways I'm stressed and just rambling on prolly with bad spelling punctuation and grammar
Lol

Any help, ideas or input is awesome to me

Thanks guys...

BAAHHH...they appear to be root bound. Those pots looked bigger. Root bound plants show all kinds of odd symptoms. Any thoughts anyone else?

My brain wants to believe that's the problem but how can explain every plant coincidently gets root bound 3-4 days after goin in the tent?

To me,it looks like they need magnesium. I would dissolve 1 teaspoon Epsom salts in a gal of water and foliar feed 2-3 times to see if they bounce back.Larger pots certainly won't hurt.

I think that might mean something. Vermisoil is fairly nutritious at 0.8-0.5-0.3. (By comparison, MiracleGro Potting Mix is 0.21-0.11-0.16. It's use is discouraged because it's "too hot" for seedlings.). It looks like a gentler soil that isn't intended to be supplemented with fertilizer. Maybe teas.

What have you been doing? Waiting, or watering?

It sounds like you could add vermiculite to prevent it from drying so fast under HID. (That's the only time I would use vermiculite. I like my soil to dry fast. But, I've read HID growers use vermiculite.).

I bet your 1000 watt lamp has accelerated their growth and nutritional uptake. Plant metabolism and nutrient use can fast forward in some strains under powerful light. To me they look hungry and their shoes are too small.
^^ That too.

Idk I'm just confused and stressed

Thought it to be possible my roots could be getting cold?
I'm with Igottag6 on the Epsom salt. You may have all the nutes you need in there, they are just locked out. Also, I think I LoveORBO was keen to notice the black pot/ white pot thing. I have heard that before, but never seen it up close and personal. I have seen roots like that before when water from the catch tray was allowed to stand, but I did not see trays in your tent. Regardless, take a deep breath, flush with Epsom salt, and give it some time, and easy on the nutes.
