That's actually not correct, I said it wrong. Abiotic stress is caused by non living factors.. ph, temperature, underwatering, high salts.. biotic stress is caused by other living organisms like diseases or bugs.. handling your plants to rough and hurting your roots is just human error/damage.
Right. So if you damage your roots, it stresses your growth. Can that cause a hermie? I'm not 100 % sure, I just say don't do that shit haha.

But plants don't have brains.
They still have a comparable nervous system. Much like if you took scissors to your roots, your above ground is going to be shocked. Same as if you were kicked in the head and got a concussion. You may just have a bruise, but your nervous system is going to shock the shit out of the rest of your body.

Depends on the strain. Some are weaker then others. Many plants will hermie in near perfect conditions. But yea, don't damage roots. That's never a good idea.
Agreed. Some strains are genetically predisposed to being a hermie. Just like hermied seeds. Most of the time they switch hit. Occasionally you get a good run, but not as often as you'd like.

Roots are the only thing keeping the plants alive.. I'm no expert but in my opinion it's probably more relatable to a heart then a brain.

I'm no expert either but foliar feeding and cloning are examples of bypassing roots and keeping the plant alive temporarily... So I suppose you're correct for the most part.
