So your telling me all that hard work I put into harvesting and curing my bud can go out the window?

I'm sold.

What would you call this method.

The "look my bud is full of lent" method.

Somethings are better left unsaid.

Let the flood gates open.

Thats what happens when you're letting it dry too quickly, and not letting it cure; probably cutting too soon, as well.
This ^^^^^ solid info :) I used to have the same issue, I started only trimming off the fan leaves and then dried very slowly in a humidity controlled dark room. Three days is way to fast and almost guarantees a hay harvest. 7 days minimum and after it is dry I then trim the sugar leaves off. never had an issue since :)BB

Proper folding is key!
Genius!!!!

An old master grower once told me of this method where he actually used damp(NOT WET, very important) Khaki's, I know who woulda thought!, and it really brought out this perfect skunky smell. I tried it once but the ole Khaki method was too advanced for me, I just stick to denim.

I guess you can get away w/ either,.. throw a few Boveda Humidipacks in each pocket for good measure :bigjoint:

i know alot of guys that rub or squish the buds a little to rupture trichs before selling. the terps are trapped behind the waxy membrane for the most part. thats why during trim is when they smell the worst..
imo it smelled better because yiu fucked up the bud..but there could be other possibilities

They are right. A quick cure and early harvest makes for hay-weed.

I have noticed this a million times where my weed doesn't have a very strong smell then I put it in a baggie and I can smell it from 20 feet. If I put that baggie in my pocket (body heat) It will really kick in and smell skunky.

Drying: a dark, well ventilated room, and / or some unbleached cardboard and unbleached paper bags
Curing: glass jars, a quality hygrometer that fits in 'em, and Boveda Humidipacks to finish / store

...these will get you the results you're looking for
