A new start, a new beginning for Orange Shovel's Outdoor Season '08

thanks guys :D
i hope to get 2 ounces off each (hopeful), but really im happy with anything
keep in mind " Shovel Man", that you beloved girls are roughly 70% water! It can be a real visual letdown by the time everything is cured & dried!

As for yellowing leaf action, that is natural! It could be different where you folks are. But if I keep dosing my plants with 'nitro',it's gonna throw the plants back into vegetative grow state. Plus, even living in a semi tropical climate(Hawaii), and in the rainforrest too. Things still tend to yellow at certain times of year, and if you are standing out like "Dog's balls" because your shit is green and everything around it is either brown or yellow because of the time of season. Well, that's not gonna be very cool at all! I live in an almost perfect climate & atmosphere. I live in lower Puna at sea level. Perfect for growing plants, hot with beach like weather, but with that semi tropical eastside rain thing going on too. By keeping your plants pretty much the same color as the surrounding other growing plants you increase their chance of survival.

More Nitro won't make them reveg. Plenty of people feed nitrogen right through budding to keep them green. If they are yellow, they are obviously complaining, and therefore the plant is not developing at a rate that it could be. You just need a good flush during the last week of flower.

i am still feeding nitrogen throughout flowering, i am just going to stop the feeding around september 1st (next weekend is last feeding). from there, the plant will just use the fan leaves to generate energy to make buds. plus i need to speed up the process about a week.

i went to check on them today. the early misty is really coming along well, safari mix is a little behind. just by looking i can tell that the buds are starting to thicken. here are your pics guys:

Hey orange! Glad to see you got right back on the horse after being throw. Your Ladies look delicious! I don't know about you, but I have learned a LOT this Season. A lot of first for me, & a LOT of mistakes. Since I've continuously planted seed off & on since forever, there is no end, just out doors to indoors, I guess. Fuck, I don't know. Got seeds, why not?
My Spring Ladies are budding now, so I've done all the damage I can do. Just water & fert. Can't top or clone now, that shit is over with. I did get 4 clones, cow ate one. Then the Mamma turned out to be transvestite.... So, I don't know. The indoor growing, I've got all that shit, not too excited about it. But I'm already getting excited about planning for next year's grow. FDD has shown the light. Planning the trip can be half the fun. I have 7 months to get it right. Thought I had it right this year, 100 5-gal nursery pots, truckload of mushroom compost, all that other high dollar shit. Stupid-ass me, if I would have just took the truckload of compost to the fucking grow area, instead of using them stupid pots, things would have been completely different. Live & learn. My question is, are you mentally already planning your attack for next year? Once I clean up the GR., I'll get excited about indoor, with the cloning & rejuving & germing... Anyway, good luck Dude!

Its good to hear from you man! I have been comtemplating growing next year for a few reasons:
1, i decided that i would grow one time just for the experience
2, its a hassle since i will be at college for the next 4 years of my life, where the is no place to grow
3, i dont want to make growing an addiction, and possibly get into trouble
4, im only 18 haha

so i really dont think i will plan for a next season. but hey, you never know what can happen in 8 months!:eyesmoke:

OK, Dude. Fully understand. Fuck, sounds to me you have got a good head on your shoulders. I, personally, grow for pleasure...don't smoke. Started in 71, quit in 90. I was 11 when first high. Anyway, here's an idea. If you want, you can grow proxy. For this coming Indoor season, you take half the grow room, I'll tell you what I've got, and you tell me how you want it done. We can pro & con various steps. Either way, I grow & maybe learn something new. You could be at College, and master a grow. I don't know, this is a little much, probably. But logic still remains the same.. I am going to grow, why not share the process? A little company wouldn't hurt. It wouldn't be too wise to have my Grandkids involved. A few are older than you. Just a thought.

you'd do that for me? i have never met a person that would trust me that much (especially online lol!)
are you saying you have your own indoor that you would have me dictate what happens to half the room? i only have outdoor growing experience, but id definitely love to help. really though, on this site there are a lot of better indoor growers. i have no idea how to heat issues etc.
if you want me to help with half of your outdoor plot, then id be all for it :D
PM me about what you mean, im sort of confused

well guys i checked on them today. i was stoned out of my mind and i saw some cool things. i cleaned up the bottles around the plants and gave them a feeding. the early misty has had her last (or second to last?) feeding. i will be harvesting on the 12th, so i might be giving up on the nutes a little early...what do you think?
i was too busy to remember my camera (or maybe a little stoned bongsmilie)
pics up soon!
