Hi people.. Wanting todo a 6 plant grow!... Right price doesn't matter as much but would like to keep as low as possible?..
1- a tent that will comfortably hold 6plants.. Any strain something high yielding.

2- what lights to use?

3- what fan and filter to use

4- doing it soil grow and want to use 18 litre or is that too big?

Pretty much full set up need it to be light tight silent as it could be and no smell thanks would love to get some replays cheers!

6 plants in a 3x3 will overgrow the space fast. Especially for a new grower. I've "evolved" over time to grow a single plant in that space that rivals the yield I got from 3 plants in that space. Because I now use a big 10-gallon smart pot that allows a big root zone to form, and I've learned to prune and encourage heartier growth (i.e. FIM). And there is no competition for light between overcrowded plants.

Most newbies want to "harvest a pound a month", or start with SOG or SCROG. I always encourage them to start slow, simple, and just concentrate on getting a grow from seed to harvested bud that will actually get you high. That's hard enough for most newbies (it was for me).

So I'd say a 3x3 tent with 400-watt HPS (unless you can deal with a much hotter 600-watt HPS). I suggest a Lumatek ballast.

Good luck.

3ft x 3ft is pretty small for a 6 plant tent.

How big do you want to grow them?
How big is the room you are putting them into?
Will you run year round or winter only? Climate?
Where are you going to exhaust? Are you able to run a 6" or 8" exhaust outdoors? Is there another location indoors (another room) you can vent to?

Are you located in the US? If not, you will likely have different brands to deal with as some items are just too expensive to ship.

Sorry off topic, I've got a 3x3 tent. I've currently got 3 seedlings going at the moment. Enough space? I'm going to top and scrog the hell out of them. btw i'm using 400w mh/hps.

I was under the impression a foot per plant is ideal. A metre is best, however most people don't let it get that stage while growing indoors due to space, but you can still crop to your desire and force them to grow upwards instead of outwards.

Just want to yeild as much as I can.. It's in a flat so can't be no noise or smell what so ever? And I need something will hold 6 plants? Is scrog method the best way and if it is how long does it take? I've never done scrog before just done ordinary? Cheers some info on scrog would be good? Sorry to go off subject

If I were you mate, just watch a video or read up on how to utilize the scrog method. It's pretty advanced. Each to their own, everyone has their own methods, but I believe SoG & ScroG are the best methods for small spaces. If you wanted to yield more regularly. I'd recommend using SoG and having a mother plant to take clones from.

For smell, just get any carbon filter. Noise isn't really a problem. At least not for me (Depends on your setup and what you decide to use)

If you want to learn the basics, I'd go on "growweedeasy" it's a site with plenty of information for what you'll need.

Good luck :peace:

There are a million ways to do it. If it's your first grow, keep it simple and go with a regular non-scrog/sog grow.

With 6 typical plants your room size will vary by how long you veg it. I will assume the first 2 weeks are veg or cloning.
0 additional veg time: 3x3 will probably fit them.
1-2 weeks of veg time added: 3x4.5
3 weeks of veg 4x6
4 weeks o veg 5x8
...

Then lights need to be sized to whatever room size you choose.

Rough yields of 6 plants in a 3x3 iknow it goes on how dialed your things are and all the rest of it? Rough could you pull 3ounce per plant using normal method just interested

3x3 space yields with good yielding strain:
<8 oz, damn you fucked up, but they lived
8oz - 12oz, you did pretty ok
12-16 oz, good job
16-24 oz, very well done, you figured it all out.
24+ oz, many will bow before your greatness

You will most likely end up in <8oz or 8-12oz, but could skip up to 12-16oz if you are smarter than your average newbie grower.

Note, the number of plants did not go into my estimate. I estimated based on the size of the space and putting ideal lighting in. Bad = .5 gpw, Good = 1 gpw, greatness = 1.5 gpw. That is based on 450w (400w HPS + 50w supplemental) in a 3x3.

I think 4 plants would likely do better in 3x3 than 6 would.
