How far to put the scrog

Hey cultivators!

I've grew normal photo plants 3 times now and have Tryed alot of diffrent things over the last year, I made the mistake of buying a huge 2mx2m tent and putting plants at one side of the grow tent and more or less wasting alot of light.

So now I've got a 80cm×160cm tent and have placed 2x think diffrent and 2x auto extreme (heard some really great things from these strains)

Running a 600 watt dual spectrum hps alongside a 400 watt (tight fit with both lights but enough)

This is my first auto grow and am really excited about it! Could any of you guys give me some advice on what height to place my scrog above the plants as am not sure about this?

I also have a 120x120 tent with 1x super ice grapefruit and 2x triangle cookie kush, running 1000watts and all in hydro (aeros 5 kit)

And using my big tent I have
2x blue berry
2x orange bud
2x mazar
2x ice breaker
2x honeysuckle
1x girl scout cookies
1x pinapple express
1x super cheese

Running all in coco with 1200 watt hps.

My electric bill is pretty high as u woukd imagin but this has turned into a massive hobby lol.

I am pretty new to growing as well and with my current grow am going to scrog for the first time. With that said i've been researching a bit of scrog obviously.

From my research I was under the impression that Auto's and Clones are not best compatible with scrog.

But i dont know from experience, never grew an auto and have yet to scrog so idk.

As for scrog net height, I have researched very successful growers who preffered to have their scrog the lowest possible, about 4" but i also see that most folks are at a much higher height. I'd assume it just really depends on a lot of factors like how long you want to veg and how big of a screen you want to fil, what plant training techniques you plan to use and so on. I'd suggest researching on the optimal scrog height for Auto's specifically since with them you are kinda forced to quite similiar variables as other growers that scrog with autos so that would give you the best answer.

Seen alot of great results on YouTube with people using it early on to help encourage the lower branches to shoot up, these aren't low riders these go to about 4/5 feet. If people lst then surely scrog woukd be perfect for Auto's no?

My autos get tossed into my tent. I have a 600w HPS . I run them 24/0 and they grow crazy. I get darn good results and some potent smoke. I grow them in organic soil. Stuff called Buffaloam and I cut it with perlite and worm castings. For nutes I use fox farm grow big and big bloom.

u do 24/0 also when they flower?
i notice a better grow during veg with 24/0 too but its the first time i try this cycle and aint sure whether to run 24/0 also during flowering

did scrog for my first grow, due to lack of space. I have two "Blue Hogs Breath" clones i got from my local dispensary, ran 24/0 for 48 days flipped about 12 days ago now under a mars hydro1 600. the trellis frame is about 3.5x3.5ft, i screwed up with the netting itself though, shouldve made it tighter! although they look good so far! *edit: my net is 8inches above my 5gal pots

Good day all, I thought I would chime in on this one. I have been an auto fan now for about 2 years.

I am in a 5x5x7 tent, flood table, 1000watt hps, I use canna terra plus for soil, davids grow ferts, "local" cal-mag, liquid karma, pk13\14 and beastie blooms, I also only grow in 7 gallon buckets now, I have played the bucket game and I found with my setup, 7 gallon buckets are the trick, at harvest time the entire bucket is a root ball.

I just dried and cured my purple cheese run, the largest plant drieded was 10.5 zips, yes not kidding, give them light and lots of it, 20/4 schedule. On a typical run I average 5 - 6 zips dried and cured per plant, it has taken awhile to fully understand how to grow autos, once you figure it out, they, in my opinion are just fine, keep in mind, 1 tent, 1 light, no bs.

In my tent I run 8 in 7 gallon buckets, I stager them in so I always have a fresh lady to enjoy.

I grew normal fems for a while as well, clearly you can manage them and make them as big or small as you want, autos don't like to be touched, no topping, no tying, no bending, leave them alone, go touch a house plant, leave the auto's alone. It's not easy, everyone wants to touch and smell, keep your hands off of them, let them be and they will be just fine.

Auto - key to success, do not over feed or over water, however when you water be sure and get a good amount of run off, more run off is better than no run off, whatever you do, PH is the key to winning or burning the crap out of things, be sure your meter is calibrated.

The biggest and best upgrade anyone can do without question is to go buy a 1000watt light, I grew under t5's, led's cfl's, all work and they work fine, however once you step your operation up, you will not regret the money you spent.

Below is my new order of beans, I have grown most of them out before, new to me is the bluemystic, to be honest they are freebie auto fems, free is good. West CoSt OG was recommended to be by a fellow gardener, so I figured I would order a few dozen and give them a run.
