Does someone have a source for cheap drivers in the states then? No backpedaling. Ill go with the cheapest available as I always have. I was very opposed to Jerry at first if you dont remember GG707, but he did earn my business. When I am ready to purchase, if Cutter has what I need for cheaper, then I would definitely go with him. Just dont use the "Cree Pricing" as a fault of Jerry as Cutter (as well as whoever else is doing it) can get shafted too by Cree.
If someone has a source for drivers cheap in the states, bring it on by all means. Jerry charges an extra $20 to ship drivers when ordering COBS from him. The cheapest Ive seen is about $59+shipping in the states. When I bought 2 way back when from Jameco, they were I think $62+shipping. Jerry is $9.50/piece cheaper and shipping was about the same either way.
So far, cheapest I could find for 2 drivers was $116.58 + $7.95 ship. I think Jerry is at $52 per driver now + $20 ship when ordered with cobs. So Jerry @ $124 or from the states is $124.53. No reason to make it difficult and order from 2 places just to pay the same amount. Also, if you order more than just a couple, Jerry's pricing becomes better. @ 2 drivers, they are the same price. Every driver, just add $6 to stateside pricing.

If you have defective parts, Jerry will replace it. He has for people in the past. Jameco will only replace if its DOA or within their return, otherwise you go through the manufacturer just like all retailers. Keep in mind, I do not believe Jerry is end all for a second, but he has proven to be reliable with genuine parts. He has supplied us when others couldnt at good pricing. Says something.
Personally, I have ordered 12 COBS and 3 drivers from Jerry. I did not have an issue with anything ordered. I ordered 8 COBS and 2 drivers from other partners, at a much higher price because I didnt believe in Jerry. In the end, I fucked myself being ignorant. If someone comes with some lower pricing, Im there. Ordering from 1 guy is easy and a little less hassle than ordering from multiple websites to source all your parts like I did the first go around. Even if I did have to pay a few dollars more, I would for convenience of ordering from 1 person rather than keepign track of 3-4 orders.

You are right, I havent seen Jerry on RIU but he still gave us all good pricing and tried to help us all which I felt he did. He provided lens/reflector options as well as holders to be purchased through him to make it easy. Im not saying Cutter does not deserve respect, but the way everyone seems to trash Jerry is pretty ignorant. I would like to see Cutter be competitive w/ Jerry with the same gear. Give us an all in one stop and shop.

I agree, I don't know Jerry, but he seems to have helped you guys out a lot, more power to him. I just here to offer sharp prices and good service, I have no issue loosing business to Jerry or anyone if he gives you a great deal, by the same token, If you bring me Jerrys price I guarantee to better it, competition is what drives the free market economy and to your benefit
