Debunking bagseed myth.

First proper grow taken from some bagseed of some horribly grown dro.
1/ that bagseed produces male or hermie plants.
Haven't seen any seed pods since flowering a few weeks left some nanners showed up but probably light stress. Nothing rampant.

2/ not worth your time
This was what got me when i saw people post. I thought all this time learning was for nothing, not only did it increase knowledge of hydroponics, it helped for my next grow.

3/ finished product will be similar to bud you got the seed from.
Absolutely wrong, it all depends on your grow and environment. Like I stated it was from some horrible harsh smelled like hay bud,
End of flowering sage is full of THC and hints of purple buds through the plants. Original had no such tint.


Invested in proper genetics from a seed bank will update process with those.

ive seen plenty of gorgeous bag seed grows on here

Agreed, but I always like to throw one or two bag seeds into my crops to mix it up .

In response to the OP though this is why i / i would guess others don't grow / don't grow entirely from bag seeds

-Growing is an expensive hobby, so after investing 1000's on proper equipment, nutes, lights, electricity time, ect I am less inclined to leave all of my genetics completely up to chance. So i always try to have at least 1/2 come from an established lineage then fill in the space with ordered seeds and a few baglers in an attempt to establish a new mom / moms. So for me its a happy mix between experimentation and sure bets to keep the experimentation funded). With all of that said i am always more excited about the bag seeds turnout because they are the most uncertain who knows might even get a big male to harvest some pollen from .

I use them as guinea pigs and setup testers. I can't complain about them.

only myth here is the one you created I think and bagseed from hydro is mostly from hermie pollen then yeah there is a greater chance of it herming to so if some don't want to grow it then good for them not sure why you need to post this.

I was in a thread a few weeks ago, where the tone was its not worth the time growing bagseed. Not that I have to divulge or explain into my reason for posting on a forum site.

no theyvwill largely be feminized..or hermie. usually late flower herms

probably light stress. Nothing rampant.

ive never had light leaks cause a hermie..it probably wont be severe or it would have been culled


2/ not worth your time

some of the best genetics came from bag seed

3/ finished product will be similar to bud you got the seed from.

it will almost always be better unless you got seeded fresh homegrown

none of these are myths
