First time cloning with aloe vera plant

So I have no clue what I'm doing other then what I've seen on YouTube but after I soak my cutting in aloe vera water I move it into a rockwool in my dark closet with a uv black right but end up looking wilted is this from too much heat what should I do with it

That poor clone.. Here are some suggestions:

1) Keep the clone out of the sunlight

2) You need to cut the tips of the leaves off about halfway up to reduce the leaf surface area. Clones can't get enough water without roots to keep the leaves hydrated.

3) Put a humidity dome over the plant. If you don't have one, you can make one using a large Ziplock. If you're going to use a ziplock, mist the inside of it with water, put it over the plant, tie the ziplock closed around the pot without the leaves touching the side of the ziplock.

OK so I've done what u have suggested I've have also soaked rock wool in aloe vera water along with my cutting since 9 a.m. do I just take my cuttings and put them in the Rockwool where would u suggest me putting the dome after putting cuttings in rockwool

Make a fresh 45' angle cut, put aloe on the fresh cut and then put the cut in the rock wool cube. Did she perk up on her own or have you had a dome over her?

No she be perked up like that ever since I put her in aloe vera water where would be a good place to put dome at I can put it my backyard in a shady spot or do I need a dark room with UV lighting

As long as she stays perky you won't need a dome.

The light from the window is good as long as she doesn't get direct sunlight but, you are going to need 18-24 hours of light. A little CFL bulb would work to supplement the window lighting.

She stayed perky for 2 days and wilted down and died I don't understand why I'm using rockwool if that makes a difference
