1st grow, almost ready for harvest, advice pls!

hey guys! so my first grow is at day 44 of 12/12, i want to thank everyone on this forum for all the advice and useful threads! when i started these clones under a 50watt cfl i only had the hope of keeping them alive, i never would have imagined actually growing bud successfully in my closet lol. still a total noob.
So a little info, 2 clones hybrid sativa (Blue Hog's breath), in 3gal pots with organic soil, feeding Kyle Kushman Vegamatrix. vegged for 45 days under a mars hydro 600, topped once, and trained using SCROG method. i am now at day 44 of flower and wanted to know if theres anything i can do to get the most yield possible. here's a pic from day 40 with lights on, and a couple from today before they wake up. thanks in advanced, everyone here at riu has been very helpful and friendly, thank you all!:bigjoint:

Very nice ,that will be the nicest tasting bud you have ever smoked,and if anyone puts it down you will want to twat em,it's like slagging one of your babies down ,great looking plant peace ,jha blessed you brother

also, i have been looking into the strain, since i have never heard of it, (Blue Hog's Breath) the dispensary claimed its a sativa hybrid, but my research says its mostly a indica dominant strain, so im confused on how long i should let them go, i was going for 9 weeks, but now im thinking to cut them a week earlier. I already ordered a pocket microscope, just waiting for it to come in the mail so i can check some trics. anyone have any opinions or thoughts on when it would be best to harvest these ladies? another week? or two weeks?

"If you think it's ready, wait another week!"

Watch the buds as they develop, they'll give you an idea of when to start looking at trichs. As you get through more grows, especially growing the same strain(s) consistently, you'll now when the window has opened for harvest just by looking at the plants. I'm glad I was patient, I harvested in the window of most of my strains. Had to cut one earlier than I would have liked but such is life. :bigjoint:

yeah i was shooting for 60-70 days*. i think ill should just stick with that, thank you!

Without some decent pics it's hard to say, you can't go by what the breeder or the dispensary tell you time wise, they base those on their experience growing the strain and their setup isn't your setup, just read the plant, it will tell you when it's done, the leaves will change color and start to fall, the buds will start to get a sort of look, but until you can tell by looking(and even after) a scope is always the way to go

Pics are good, I hit post right before they showed up, damn! She's close, I wouldn't give her anything now but water( maybe a little molasses) but that's your call, nice work

Thank you! Yeah im just surprised considering its only been 6 weeks, i plan on feeding for the remainder of this week and then start flushing next week!
