An inline fan is a type of centrifugal fan. Usually higher cfm ratings than booster fans and work much better (usually more expensive)

Usually the inline fan is used for exhaust purposes, either out of a grow tent or out of a grow room.

The booster duct fans work ok for air intake into a grow room or grow tent.
