Will LED lights ever....

looks like a johnson light, I think this fixture would do just fine without the COB in the center, probably why he has to keep it up so high, nice crop by the way!!

is there anything more alpha than dropping a pic like that with absolutely zero words to support it?

canopy nice wall to wall spread on the mango strain in the rear. The front plants are more main cola dominant. The center cob in the CX-9 has a different lens than the rest. You are right the CX-8 has no center cob and puts out more light with less watts but also costs more. This was a test grow for myself but ive already made up my mind and i am selling the hps/mh crap.

cool I didnt know about the different lens, one of the nicest canopy I have ever seen, u got so much weight on there.... looks like you have enough lower buds to do a double harvest too! Looking forward to hear your gpw on here, makes me want to try growing a heavy yielding strain!! how s the smoke on those?

spectrumking for me vegged great....but fell short on the flowering....
Sorry it didnt work for u . keep trying the sk kicks ass in flowering. Its a learning curve it isnt the same as hps.look at the pic this is week 4. A 4×8 with 2 sk 400+ i will pull around 4 pounds. Results dont lie. I have a light meter and the sk is more intence than my gavitas and thats a fact

i will keep trying thankyou...
i wish i thought your plant photo's were really at 4 wks though..
[maybe its just me....and i am not usually so skeptical]

No dude. Listen, led is more efficient.it will produce more weed. If you were running 600 watts of solar storm it would yield more. You ran a led that draws half the power of the 600hps and it didn't do much worse. Add another and the hps cant compete.
Funny thing...i asked this question ealier in the thread and nobody answered...i dont think...

So anybody care to validate this. What kind of quality LED wattage will match he yield of a quality 600w HID?

600W hid AFTER LOSS IS MAYBE 28% EFFICIENT at best. 168 PAR watts.

600w of CXB3590 @ 56% efficiency (common and cheapest option) is 303 PAR watts after loss. Most likely, you can double your HID harvest watt for watt. 300w of CXB3590 should be as good if not better than 600w HPS.

There is no way to figure this out without being able to discuss efficiency with you

Instead ive been given a bunch of mathematical gibberish that claims better efficiency.

I understand your scepticism actually that was the end of week 4 beginning week 5. I have no reason to lie. That would serve no purpose. Anyone can yield like this if u follow my methods

can you explain why the DE covers less area then the standard?
just google it, 6x4 standard coverage area for a DE 1000 watt gavita....you guys are clueless why do I gotta do all the work for you to explain everything do a little research or get your hands on some of these lights and run them. I'm done explaining things to the blind and deaf.

Efficiency is irrelevant. Results are.

But to play the math game... suppose 4 pounds is the absolute max that can be yielded from strain X in a 5x9 space and that such can be done with 2 x 1000w HIDs. Now what would it take with quality LEDs to get that same 4 lbs??

That is all i am asking. Efficiency is irrelevant to me. I want the 4 lbs, not pennies saved on electricity.

Why cant i get a straight answer on this question???
