To be honest with you I'm kind of getting tired of living in Chicago and even the whole state of Illinois as a whole this place sucks its cold as fuck it's going downhill terrible laws fuck this place too many people in the metro

I miss it sometimes even though I'm back there 2 times a month..but you'd be much happier in Michigan 25 days a month.. Its so chill up here, no cops or cameras every god damn block, no traffic. Land is cheap.

everybody is running everything here into thew ground. I don't vote and I don't pay taxes, red light tickets speeding camera tickets or any non moving violation. they can suck my dick.. only things they get me on is the ciggeretts and tolls and I go out to dupage county to buy smokes and I have an ipass anb though I hate paying them tolls I only pay half cuz the ipass.. fuck these bums

I hear ya, if I had dough I'd have a big ol greystone or brownstone in bronzeville and head south to Florida after thanksgiving n come back to Chicago for Easter.

I mean its a great city. after coming to downtown Chicago every other downtown except new yorks seems small even l.a. the food here is great. I just hate the assholes running the state and winters here

Part of the reason we bailed was that the city had become incredibly inhospitable in the last ten years. Traffic is way worse than it needs to be because people seem to have adopted "driving like a selfish prick" as their mode. Seriously, I can drive 6000 miles without fear or anger - until I hit Chicago. And of course driving anywhere means risking a ticket while speeding at 35 mph past a tiny, hidden park. Ok, we really left because having a kid made us look at the sorry state of public schools and there was no fucking way we were going to move to Schaumburg or some hellhole like that - but there were about 1000 other reasons too.

A couple weeks ago I was driving through an alley on the north side. I was about 40 feet from reaching the street. A woman driving on the street turns up the alley toward me. There is only one place for me to pull over so I do. She stops right in front of me and starts making hand gestures. Finally it dawns on me - I am pulled over in front of her garage. She is blocking me from going forward. She actually expected me to have stopped and backed up so that she could get in her garage rather than waiting an additional ten seconds for me to drive past it. I know this because she opened her window to yell at me. "I opened my garage door so you would know" she screamed despite the fact that her garage was in my right blind spot behind me.

Yes, it has become Cunt-City - but I think Rahm and Rauner are just a symptom of something that already happened. Let's blame Daley.

Michigan is looking pretty good right now.

I literally have like 65 unpaid red light camera tickets, those greedy fucks will never get a penny from me.. Now you have to pay for garbage removal, and taxes are going up.. The 2 best things the city had was cheap property taxes and you could gut a house n the garbage men would take anything.. The pensions are bankrupting the state . I know a dozen retired cops who have gotten over a million dollars already, these guys are healthy n going to live at least 12-20 more years..when they die their wife gets half of their monthly pension payment. :o


The 2nd worst school system in the country n these arrogant fucks are constantly bitching and striking. You know Chicago has half the population of NYC and twice the amount of alderman. If they ever lift the city residence mandate the city would look like a ghost town.
