Another CXA3070 grow in coco 321...go

I'm feeling a bit like a dinosaur with my cxa's but for my space they are still rocking out 14 months later consecutively without a hiccup! (Although I am super eager to build another light) only benefit I would have with cxbs in there is an extra 2 cobs and better more efficient use of my drivers but the canopy is pretty well covered as is so I'm not sweating it.

I have a HSO Bluedream on the right, DNA Kandy Kush on left and an Underdogurkle from CSI Humboldt in the 3 liter bottle up front.
I also took clones for the first time ever from the bluedream because it was one bushy and tough plant. We'll see if they root on day 7 this Wednesday.
Running everything in Charcoir Cloudcoir which I'm liking so far and Jacks 321 thanks to Greengenes awesome results!

Wasn't happy with last harvest. The burn and feeding issues really took a toll on yield and flavor so hopefully with the simplicity of the 321 it should go off without a hitch. Really want to hit a gpw this run if for anything so I have plenty to smoke till next harvest lol and to be getting the most out of my lights.

The cxa3070's still have one advantage over the newer cxb series. At 38 volts it can run at a higher wattage with the same amount of current. As long as it's not being blown away by higher bins in 3000k there is not much advantage to upgrading yet. I'm using the same chips

Mistake me if im wrong but Cree is going for Max LED lm/W.

There are plenty of advantages to getting the top bin that's available when you build. Just pointing out that the older chips can still hold their own against currently available chips.

only advantage the cxa has over the cxb is if u run it at .400mA. after that it just is at loss when comparing lm/w

When both chips are run at the same current the cxb does not put out more lumens than the cxa until 1800ma. It out-muscles using voltage and higher watts. The cxb is more efficient though.

Clean setup! What size is your space? Sorry if I missed it.

It's a 2x2.5 gorilla tent standing 83" tall.
I would go for as much height as you can allow. Even though I don't use most of it when scrogging, it's good to have just in case.

I need to stay pretty stealth at the moment so my cab's gotta look like something it's not lol. I had a makeshift cab out of a under sink cabinet I got at Home Depot for $80 or something but after legalization, there won't be a need to be too stealthy but just enough.

My plants never got over 20" tall and that was without scrogging, which I'll be doing, in almost an identical setup as you. I'd be surprised if they got even close to 20" with LST and scrog. My needs aren't high so I can go a little lower. ;-)

On a side note the cloning went great for my first time out. I cut 7 clones stuck them in a glass of water.
Then dipped each cut in Bontone rooting powder then stuck them in rapid rooters in a humidity dome.
By day 8 three of them looked like this

And I put them in solo cups.
2 out of the other 4 had double the roots by day 13 and also went into cups. The other 2 clones didn't make the cut and we're tossed. This was just for fun since it was my second to last BD seed and who knows, it may be a keeper.
Here they are today
