she is in FF ocean forest, 2 weeks from sprout and is receiving plain ph water. with so many symptoms being so alike I don't know what it is. never mind the picture on the right half. I'm worried about the yellowing of the leaves.

They are the cotyledons they will die off its fine. Plant looks good

Sorry my friend but I gotta go with nute burn on this one that is true leaf damage the cotyledons still look fine.

IHMO FFOF is quite hot for a seedling. I love the FF product line but I personally would not start a plant in FFOF.

Did you add any perlite or dolomite lime to the soil? Have you added other nutes?

thanks man. I think next time I'll go with something a little less hot. any suggestions on what I could use?

I have always used FFHF...FFOF is too hot...FFLW is too cool...FFHF is in between. No guess work and with the FF line of nutes used carefully and timely it is a very good mix. I always buffer even the FFHF with 30% perlite though.

cool man thanks for the input. I'll keep that in mind

If you would like to see the results of this medium...check my journal link..by 2 weeks I had already topped and was about to transplant.

BTW...that soil is good enough too feed for a good 2 weeks or more on it's own. So, when you transplant too a bigger pot keep that in mind before feeding. Also you may want to add the perlite in when transplanting. Dolomite lime will also buffer the soil, you may not need it BUT, it won't hurt either.

Addendum...the FFOF unamended would and could feed 3-4 weeks

I suppose i should read some of the replies!

I just figure that most noobs like myself like to go ham on the ferts early and often. HF gives you a littttle bit of wiggle room with that.

OH! forgot the OP was about a sick plant...not soil!! LMFAO!!

New growth looks nice and green. Keep an eye for roots coming out the drain holes, that will tell you when to move her into a bigger home. If you stay in the FFOF...add perlite (again I go 30%) you need not feed at all for a good 2 - 3 weeks. Keep her moist.. not wet and be mellow and let Mother Ganja do her thing she should be fine.

Keep reading and studying...never stop! Knowledge is your best friend in this game. Don't over-react with the slightest issues, come here and use the search feature to help you out...In soil you get much earlier warning of issues and more time to fix them.

Good Luck and Great Growz
