yea you dont need the lights on during germ. but once you see them pop out get those babies on, good luck!
thanks for the reply. i've turned them off now. they're still controlled by the ag unit at the mo so not sure if they will turn back on. i'm on salad setting.

i'm gonna get myself a temp/humid gauge so i can keep an eye on things. it can get pretty warm in that cupboard when immersion is on. was nice and cool when i just checked.

one thing i have noticed is that the front middle dripper doesn't seem to work as well as the front left and right ones. the sponges left and right saturated very quickly but the middle took ages and that was with help. it's better now the sponge has swollen.

super nice korvette.

i fixed the bad flow to the middle pot. i lifted them out and as i rotated them i could feel a groove. so i got them in the groove and pushed down. all three pots now sit much lower.

i don't recall seeing that in their manual . i don't recall seeing a grove in the grow tray holes either :-|.

you can check the pump by putting the setting to strawberrys and open the hatch and look all the pumps will be on 24/7 with strawberry setting

got an extractor fan today and some hose to build up a carbon filter. also bought a vent for a passive intake.

for the carbon filter i got some carbon from the aquarium. the stuff i bought comes in nylon pouches so i haven't had to make anything up to put the carbon in. i will just put the three pouches in the end of the hose (not until cheese time tho).

pics attached. look foward to your feedback.

forgot to say last pic is of my 125w cfls. i'm unsure of how best to mount them, i.e horizontal/vertical and also left/right or front/back. they are to long tho, to mount on the left/right sides without some major fucking about. ideas welcome.

Cheers

My bluecheese cracked after 24 hours, be sure to keep the towel moist but not wet.

Are you going to be using both of the enviros at the same time?

Blue is for vegging and Red flowering, as far as to where to put them I would say horizontal and as close to the plants as possible to avoid streching. I am using a 200w myself and I can have the light just cm away without hurting the plants.

Hope this help, looking forward to seeing your plants grow

Good luck

hi gorlax

i was hoping to use two enviros, i planned on buying another red and another blue and as you said use the blue for veg and red for flower. after building the box tho and seeing how big the enviros actually are, i think i may have to stick with one.

i am contemplating ditching the aerogs light hood as it is the same size as the inside of the box. so using it would block ventilation up to the extractor. i can get two enviros horizontal running left to right with a fairly decent gap between them to allow hot air to convect upwards. i would not be able to use a standard reflector for them, i would have to construct a small one for each using some mylar.

i would like to use the hood tho, after all i paid for it. so i may use it on the rear wall facing outwards to side light the plants. if i did that it would mean making a light raiser would be simpler and give finer adjustments, i.e pull them up using some string. i could even use something similar to raise the ag lighthood up when needed.

the only problem using the lighthood in that way may mean the bubble unit has to be moved forward, stopping the doors from closing. not an issue if i do 24/0 on the veg but obviously would be for flower. i could probably overcome that tho. i still have 3m2 of mylar left. the problem may be the plants touching the bulbs. again probably something i could over come when the time arose.

what lights are you doing for flower? i think the best i could do is 2*125w enviros (8500 lm each) and the ag hood for a tad of blue (about 2500 lm).

The more light the better ;)

I have been using a single 200w for my entire grow, I know they are not the best but I am only growing 2 plants and while my buds are not football size, I am really happy with them.

yeah i reckon i'm gonna lose th ag hood for top down lighting and use 2*125s blue for veg and 2*125s red for flower. i will build up my own reflectors. already started, just need more velcro to attach the mylar. i'm gonna use a 200 dvd bin lid cut in half horizontally and length wise to give me four semi circles. screw them to a wood beam as use velcro to attach the mylar. should have them finished tonight. i'll post pics when they are done.

as for the ag hood i reckon i will do a front light with that. it's height, or depth when vertical is to great for my space but i'll experiment with some ideas i have.

i'm only gonna do 3 plants if all goes well but the extra red and green enviros are deffo gonna be needed. as you say more light the better.
