Exactly what it's doing here. Miserable ass weather looks like December outside. Sure pisses on my paradeYeah its 47 degrees here over cast an rainy on an off
I've got a few started under lights, putting out in the sun when possible just waiting on the chance to set them out for good
I wouldn't really say im a head of you I jus started mine from seed about two weeks ago that are in solo cup working on there second set of leaves nowYep on the cold weather in the deep south. It was 37F down here in north Florida this morning. There was enough wind to keep the frost away though. No wind tonight, so I'm hoping it doesn't get as cold. You guys are ahead of me. I'm doing everything outside, so my oldest ones are only about 6".
The old timers always say there is a cold snap before Easter. Easter is early this year, so I hope this is the one they are talking about.
About the same time frame looks like. This is one of my CP! plants 5-6 days ago.I wouldn't really say im a head of you I jus started mine from seed about two weeks ago that are in solo cup working on there second set of leaves now
You think you got a big enough potAbout the same time frame looks like. This is one of my CP! plants 5-6 days ago.
It won't spend but another week or so in that pot. Normally I would go to the next size large for a couple three weeks before going into the ground. But I'm going to use a larger pot to make a hole in the hole {if that makes sense}, and pour in my soil mix. I'll transplant into that. I'm trying to cut out as much handling as I can.You think you got a big enough pot
So what size hole will you be going with or how many gallons will your holes beIt won't spend but another week or so in that pot. And the picture is of my holding ground. I won't be planting there, just keeping the plants until they are big enough to go into the real woods.
I'm right under the mason Dixon and directry across the states from the triangle ..I live in the mtns...that's for damn sure...I usually start inside on vday and I have em In pots and outside in april ever year...I have had to take em in before and but iv also haven't had to...iv already had some outside just to let em get a shot of that pure sweet sun...the ones that were outside are far bigger than the ones that were stuck inside...I had beautiful weather all week last week and the past two days it's been snowing...hell I even went snowboarding yesterday...had to have one last rail session before it the snow left us
we usually have a blackberry winter and a dogwood winter but it's just a cold spat no frost. It didn't frost here this morning but it rained a little last night and my car was covered in ice when I took off this morning at 445. My weather was the same as yours I live about 7 hours north of you straight up 75. Mine is soooooo ready to hit the dirt. I've had my holes ready since last fall so all I'm waiting on is some cooperation from the freaking weather.Yep on the cold weather in the deep south. how are you keeping that alive outside in 37* weather? You have a good looking place for "presaging" but mine would be drawled up like granny's tit if I put it out as cold as it has been here. You're doing a helluva job
It was 34F down here, with a spotty frost. I got to the plants before the sun came up and washed the frost off with a spray bottle. A few of them got a little color, and a couple may be going into pre-flower, but the cold didn't kill them. In fact I transplanted 3 of the Slo2's into the LL patch today.I hope no one left their babies out last night especially if their weather is anything close to what mine is. It's 29* here in the Southern Appalachians. Enough frost on that looks like a young snow. Good growing guys!!
Damn, sounds like your Fla. weather is worse than our North Ga. weather. I still have mine in buckets moving them in and out of the house. When indoors I have them under some CFL's but on pretty days I set them under the sun. I got extremely lucky today. A electrician friend of mine has been working on billboards switching them over to LED's and taking down the big lights that shined on them at night so you could see the billboard. Well just by happenstance the spot lights they have been taking down are 400w HPS lights so I got a freebie light and sealed reflector hood. I will have to cut holes in each end to put a fan in it for doing something with the heat. I might be growing a couple plants in my out building to go with my briar patch grow. But I have a question. I have never grown anything indoors so I don't know jack shit about it. The HID setup he's giving me is for a 400w HPS light, can I run a MH light in it also? And because it's a 400w setup do I have to use a 400w light or can I down size the bulb to 150? Like I said all my growing experience is by the help of Mother Nature and her lights are perfect for growing. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. It was 34F down here, with a spotty frost. Here is one of the CP1's this morning.
