RIU administrator called all North Carolinians "redneck idiots" kinda set me on fire and I popped off at him in a post... I may get banned for it as I have seen ppl banned for less . It is a very conservative state but there's many forward thinking individuals moving to lead us into the 21st century...they just hit a speed bump Wednesday with Bill being passed that's being misinterpreted by the population at large .

Calling any large group of people idiots is always a mistake. We aren't fungible parts of an undifferentiated whole, we are all individuals! It is an easy mistake to make, but causes literal wars, and disagreements throughout history. "All the gays do this" - "All the Panthers fans do that" - "Everyone has something to hide except me and my monkey"
- always wrong, always hurtful.

I live in a secret state far away where one might say everyone is a stupid redneck, but one would be wrong. I'd love this state with no reservations if they'd adopt the CO cannabis laws. I'm a smart goddamn redneck.

I am also from a "Conservative" area....generally speaking...San DIego was
always a Navy Port. But our flavor of Conservatism always made me proud, as
it was good, old fashioned, Laissez Faire Conservatism.
