It's coming from my backyard, I have the ducting right by my screen door that separates the backyard form inside the house.

How long do can I turn it off for ?

I would recommend strongly against that. What ever bugs or pests are in your back yard are going to get sucked right now. If any thing put some filter over it, something with small pores. Also if possible put down stuff to kill pests in back yard as well.

But keep it off for 8 hours. Then do it again in 3 days. Then again in another three days. This is because it will not kill eggs, this gives times for eggs to hatch.

Dude solid advise I've been thinking about putting a filter on it the end of my ducting I don't have anywhere else to draw fresh air. Ok so turning off my fan during lights off is probably my best bet. Thanks man I'm going to home depot first thing in the morning

Um.. If I was you bro I wouldn't pull from outdoors. Or vent however you have it going. If you absolutely have to, then take a pair of your ladies panty hose and cover the vent opening, works great.. (; Mainly bc tht maybe how the little fookers are getting in there eating your plants. If you see holes and it looks as if there being eaten on, I would say aphids.. there kinda hard to see with the naked eye bro cause there small and kinda clear looking. If you happen to see what looks like white specks/dots and tiny black specks on the back sides of the leaves that's usually spider mites. I hope it's nothing but if it happens to be aphids it's best to catch um before they get out of hand. Here's a recipe I've used in the past that's all organic and works super good. Tried and true bro...
It's a garlic based oil spray. It not only kills many pests, including aphids, but acts as an antibacterial and anti-fungal agent, which helps to deter plant destroying diseases. Here’s the recipe:

add three to four cloves of finely chopped garlic to two teaspoons mineral oil and let it marinate for 24 hours. Strain into a one gallon jug of water and add one teaspoon liquid dish detergent. This can and should be stored, as it is too strong to be applied as is.

When ready to spray, add two tablespoons of the garlic oil mixture to a spray bottle and fill with water. Test the strength of the mixture on an inconspicuous area of your cannabis plant. Wait a day or two to ensure no leaf damage. If you see yellowing after the waiting period, further dilute the mixture and continue performing tests until you arrive to the proper concentration of garlic versus water. Once you know the proper ratio, spray the entire plant, paying special attention to the undersides of the leaves. If that's to much to mess with you can always get you a bottle of neem oil and dose them.. was just trying to give a hand in an effective way to kill those buggers without spending much $. I think a bulb of garlic is pennies on the dollar and shit everyone should have dish detergent (;

Ah great idea I definitely will have that st home. Yea it's a very real possibility that those little bugs are aphids.

Thank you once again I'm pulling all the stops for my ladies

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Thanks everyone for the solid advise. I'm really debating about just taking out the oldest plant and setup some sort of mother cab. I'm noticing the youngest plant is growing great and doesn't have any bite marks or holes. I don't want to risk what ever is going on with the oldest plant to spread.

Also I've contacted California lightworks and they responded really fast. They said to keep light 18 inches away at least. Right now I'm at 24inches away and that's the highest i can get it.

In short I'm running out of vertical height in my 2x2x4 tent and I really don't want to out grow my grow space and get the plant too big. I want this to be a good learning experience so I'm going to just go with a one plant SCROG set up... Survival of the fittest

Also flipped where I was running the ducting. I have the passive intake on the opposite side along the wall now, I have my humidifier right by the intake (also grabbed some old pantehose and put that on) temps have been at a cool 75• F - RH 59%

Plan is to have the SCROG in by the end of the week, veg for two more weeks (at the most) and that will put me at a 6weeks veg from breaking ground. I'm anticipating at LEAST 2x double in size so I'm pushing it real close

Ah so exciting

Just spent two hours making my screen. I didn't have power tools so I took a fat Bong rip of some sky walker and busted out the old lighter and screw method lol
Put the screen about 1in above. Right now it's just ziptied to the tents poles but it's pretty sturdy.

What y'all think View attachment 3650158 View attachment 3650159
Looks great might need more than an inch to work with the plant though. Can you unzip the side of the tent?

Looks good. Of you have room do me Both. Less you have room plus equipment for mom plant.

I don't think you'll need to open sides since tent is only 2ft wide. How tall are they now
Ya I don't have any spare parts for the cab, I think I may just give the oldest plant away. I'm happy with just one lady in there.

Ya once I just have one plant I think it will be more than enough room.

I'm at 25 inches from canopy to led, keep in mind I must keep at least 18inches away through out the whole grow. Lol it's going to be REAL close on space

And my plant isn't really stretching lol. It's like 6 1/2 inches tall right now. Super tight nodes.

I say you scrog them both. Remember to keep tucking them you want to promote up ward growing of the branches. Sets off a hormone in them when you have them leaning to the side, and youll need to do that for the first 1-2 weeks of flowering. They go into a big growth. Fill about 75%. then flip. Do not wait till the screen is full to flip the lights, or you will be a bit over whelmed.

Are you upping your lighting for flower? And you might want to get either a second light or a higher wattage light or a second, higher-wattage light for flower. Because I added my 240w veg light to my 500w flower light with UV and IR and my shit looked noticeably different (understatement) in 3/4 of a day.

Yea i want too do both! I'm just being super cautions because I don't want to have to shut it down early due to outgrowing my space. So should I move the screen higher a little bit or should I keep it close as possible to the canopy right now ?

I would love to throw in more light but I'm tight on money / space right now. Definitely I'm taking notes for next round already and throwing in some extra led or CFL is high on that list
