Need To Buy a Home - BUT WHERE??

They plow the road every day and it's only a few miles from town. You're not isolated, just away from the rat race. The micro climate is much nicer, too; summers aren't nearly as hot, there's more moisture...

And to be brutally blunt, if it could burn, it just did a few years ago- so this is the best time to move in.
Sounds ideal :bigjoint:

I think I'll try and head up and check it out next weekend. Hopefully the weather's nice and I'll drop into La Poudre :-D It is a tailwater and fishes all year, yeah?

Yes it does. Parachute Adams, size 12 or smaller (it's early yet), served up dry as a bone and lightly. The best spots are the ones that don't look like much.

Give me a holler when you wanna roll up this way.

WTF am I saying?!

Ft Collins sucks! To much great beer, too many pretty college girls, too much fun stuff to do, too much great weed...

Don't come here. Boulder is cool; go there.

The proverbial cats already wandering around - thanks for helping her out! :bigjoint:

When I'm able to get up that way, I will give ya a holler! Give the city a chance to roll out the transplant deterrent squad.

bo county is brutal,

2400 for 1400sqft residential or 3k for 3000sqft ag in bo co... if you know some old timers.

otherwise 2500-3500 for 2000sqft shitbox residential... mostly no-grow clauses in lease. . .

Boulder is for people who need to be told they're cool. The rest of Colorado is for those of us who don't need outside validation, lol

Colorado rents are completely insane anymore.

Well. It's official. I'm in Colorado Springs.

It's been a nightmare of a move and stuff. Even split up with my gf of 7 years, 2 days after we signed the lease(long fucked up story, workers comp injury lead to really bad hardcore opatie abuse issues)

ANYWAY. Looking for some firends and good shops down here so dm me if you live around.

I'm in the Stetson Hills area I believe. I dunno. There is a Taco Bell up the road just off 21. From looking at the map we are kinda on the outskirts of town.

Ft Collins is a drive from the Springs, but if you ever find yourself coming up this way, give me a holler!

Will do man. What you said about the climate makes me wish we would have looked up there more.

It seemed like it was more expensive there but I think that was when we were looking to buy, not rent.

You know what a 3-4bdrs around 2000sqft rent for up there?

Craigslist will have up to the minute prices.

Used to be that you could get into a place cheap in winter, because college kids soaked up the rental market in summer, then the dropouts would skate on their lease around Christmas, leaving openings. That happens less with the green rush on.

As far as the thread topic there has been a major change in "where to buy/rent" in CO. Take into consideration what's going on in Pueblo and COS right now with the anti-movement.

Plant count changes... trying to eliminate rec... much more.

A year ago everyone was running to Pueblo. Now everyone should be running FROM Pueblo.

Do your research, folks. Good luck :)

Since when are people flocking to Pueblo? lol

Also trying to eliminate rec? Isn't most of the state trying to push out med for those rec profits?

Lots of people have been the last couple years cus of crazy cheap cost of living. As of right now anywhere from pueblo to Denver is not the place to be, even if growing completely within the laws.

Quite a few places are trying to ban Rec right now. From what I've read I think it mainly stems from the pharmaceutical companies/doctors. I could be way off on that one tho. Also I think it could partially be due to all the black market activity/trying to decrease that (across state lines)
Again I could be wrong tho.

Safe growing everyone

Hu. Yea. I mean I get that but It seems the opposite of what I've seen. Aurora for example bans med but has rec shops open till midnight. And the state is making it harder to get a med card. Trying to force more people into the rec market.

I know the springs only has med but outside of Denver Metro it has the most dispensaries in the state so. I don't see it as an issue.

I am aware they are getting stricter because of recreational. Before they had everyone's name and address that could grow legally. And now they are worried about yea, the black market and out of state shit . I assume you guys saw the recent news. But again. That was large criminal "networks" bringing shit out east. If the rest of the country would join us in the 21st century that wouldn't be an issue. It's just like Alcohol prohibition, which I wish would have stuck, lol.

As far as people flocking to Pueblo, if that's where all the out of state green rush jerkoffs wanna live, I'd rather that than up here, lol.

I know that statement is a little odd coming from someone that moved here for cannabis but I've been here since before Rec opened up and I have a non industry job and dont sell or anything. Just happen to love weed and this beautiful state. I feel as if I've been accepted and loved by the community here. Lol.

Look in the papers from Pueblo to Denver.

Pueblo is pushing to get rid of rec and limit home grows, regardless of paperwork, to 12 plants per household.
Colorado Springs doesn't have rec and home grow limits are about to become 12, regardless of paperwork.
Square footage for grows has been reduced to 150sq/ft.

I didn't even realize there was sq footage limitations. Before we know it they will be trying to ban homegrowing all together.

Because they want that $$$ and the greedy industry helps make the laws.

And sure. It sucks for caregivers trying to make a living off of their grow. But let's be real here.

With 12 plants, 4 lights, and 2 8x4 grow tents, I can stay legal, grow enough for my own personal use, rosin like half of it, make edibles and caps with all the chips, supplement my income if I want AND still have weed just going bad in jars becuase it's so old. Lol.

And if you can't then we need to talk, I'll give you some tips. Lol. I gave some guy some bud the other day and he asked where it was from and when I said I grew it he lost his mind and wanted me to teach his friend the he buys shit from. Lol.
