I know it may not seem like it now bro, but you'll get the hang of it. It just takes time to get into that groove of things. But boy, when you do and you have your grows dialed in, you'll be set. So keep your head in it and don't give up despite past experiences..

That seed never did come up, but the first one that I lost in the soil did. Furthermore, the directions for The Tron does not mention anything about rockwool; it says to plant direct into the soil. I am supposed to be using sphagnum moss, but have opted to use coco with a little perlite and vermiculite instead. So, in my babbling, I guess what I am trying to say is: by planting direct into the soil maybe that will increase my chances of a successful grow and the one time that I have completed a grow I planted direct into the soil. I have copied and pasted your recommendation into a "cheat sheet for growing" of sorts for reference and will take your advice the next time I try rockwool. Now that I think about this a little harder, I have realized that the rockwool was a freebie from a shop, so maybe there is something wrong with the cubes; maybe they just gave it to me knowing that there was something wrong with them? I'm not sure. I am just really frustrated because these are more or less predatory plants which means that they should grow in almost any climate regardless of how mild or harsh they may be. How hard can growing be? In fact, the Ruderalis strain is primarily found in Northern Russia which has got to be one of the harshest climates that there is. So, if it can grow in like negative fifty degree weather on it's own with no problem, why is it having such a hard time growing in my closet in seventy five to eighty degree weather all while getting all the water, light and air that it needs the whole time?

It's either me doing something wrong and haven't figured out what I am doing wrong yet, the cubes that I have been using or just bad luck. I am warming up another H.S. seed to be germmed and I will try this again. Thanks again for chiming in, I really appreciate your feedback and advice.

Hey guys. What's happening :confused: hope everyone is having a great day. Yall's ladies sure are looking damn good. Here's mine as of this morning. Heisenberg is the lady on the left. The smaller one is a Querkle.
since tommarow is the beloved 4/20 I decided to go ahead and start me two more strains for 12 total. (: I went with Dr. Grinspoon and Aliens All Jacked Up.

Had a small bout with a calmag issue on my Buddha Tahoe Og. Mixed up a batch of episom salt and misted her. Also added a ml of calmag to my nutrients just to be on the safe side. Hopefully that caught it in time, which I do believe it did cause I only seen faint spots on the lower leaves. Seems to be clearing up and hasn't spread.

More Heisenberg. Didn't top was aiming for one single cola. :mrgreen:

4/20 is just a few short hours away so I'm gonna roll a fat stick and blaze one for all my ganja loving brothers and sisters here on RIU. Thanks for the good vibes Sassafras! No, no giving up on this end. I will be checking my H.S. #4 today and maybe dropping it in the soil; I thought the timing was right anyway. If it doesn't pan out, then I move up to HID and experiment with that. After doing some quick research, I am finding that yes The Tron does work but it can't compete with HID. Fluorescents apparently are good for branching, but they also are better for leaf production as opposed to bud production which explains why I had a lot more leaf material than bud material. Furthermore, the buds that were produced were smallish and airy; not big dense buds. So, if I fail at this next attempt then I move on to something bigger and better...I hope.

Thanks again for your encouragement! When I make the switch to HID, I most probably will be asking a ton of questions about growing under HID. Hopefully you'll be around to give me your advice and help me navigate through the process.

Lookin good guys. Im thinking mine will be hitting dirt soon. Havent had the room but im almost there. They dont look like super wide plants. Nice and compact and heavy by the looks of @HarryCarey s. I like the structure and speed of the heisenburg vs. the toofless. Looks like itll have bigger buds and less need for support later in the grow. Looking at yours makes me want to get these beans wet bro.

Thanks man, I do agree the heisenberg is more compact. The toofless looks to be lagging a bit in bud size but I think it will go 75-80 days versus 65-70 I'm thinkin on the HS. And the toofless will no doubt yield more in the end being 29" versus the HS at 22". Some deep purple stripes forming on the stem of the toofless :)

Id bet theyre pretty close in weight but a guy could get more plants on a table of those heisenburgs.

We shall see :) I expect the toofless to fill in nicely, it is ridiculously branchy tho, ive pinched a few times trYing to slow the vert growth, lighting is getting difficult. Heisenberg for sure in a sog setup tho. The heisenberg has that donkey dick goin on with only 4 other branches but that may be due to the first week of its life being very slow growth. I'm excited to see how mine compares t everyone else's :)

Anybody else on instagram? I got on there so I could order from big shoe. Name is haz_mat_man

No that was the old cheap ass $20 hps You really need to make the step up to hid you will love HPS. Once you dial it in you can do some fun stuff even with cheap bulbs. Only reason I got the Hortilux is because I want to see if I can get even better quality in my herb. And I have a little nanolux OG 400 ballast that is digital and had a dim feature. And you can get em for like $100 Happy 4/20 @UniDragon
