Wind Burn vs Heat Stress

Most of my plants have the heat stress look with the curling of the leaves. I experimented a little on one plant with a light blowing of air from a fan. The leaves were not curling but once I turn up the air circulation on that one plant the leaves started to curl a little bit. So I'm wondering does the amount of wind factor with the leaves curling to mimic like a heat stress issue? Granted that my temps are 79F - 82F when the light is on, so it's not a heat issue I believe. But... What do you RIU users think?

Curling like this is called 'curled leave margins'

and yes the plant id trying to cool itself

Those leaf capillaries pointing up create vortex over the leaf panels cooling the cells

Only with the RIU noobs ????

playing shit like this causes serious undue stress

likely to lead to herming and seriously screwing yields

perhaps consider a promotion to Grass City

https://forum.grasscity.com/register/

their its very popular

good luck
Still doesn't answer my question....

Instead of talking your shit maybe answer the question politely since this website is all about advice and seeking knowledge from "veteran" experienced growers. (Which from I see it's a category you don't fall into)

I know the plant is trying cool down (common fucking sense) but does the wind play a factor in this? That is..."was" my question.

What is the temperature at the canopy of your plants? The curling for sure is a heat issue. I wouldn't worry about it too much though.

As for a fan you want a gentle breeze blowing around your plants, not directly on them. Line your fans so they blow across the top of your plants and this will mix the air up nice for them.

The canopy temp is 77F

Also I have 2 fans on a low setting blowing across the tops of the girls, they are swaying gently in the wind.

I hang a couple remote thermometers 6" or so below my lamps. I see 83 all of the time. I have my plants at around 24", now in veg at 600w. I expect my plants leaf temps are below 83. Maybe light to close heating up the plant surface?

My 1000w light is about 3 1/2 - 4 feet from the top of my canopies.
My girls are going into week 5 of flower tomorrow, and the curling didn't happen until about 2 weeks into flower. I vegged my girls for about 50 days with absolutely no problems.
All my problems always happen when in flower.

I'm pretty sure that is heat stress. Maybe they just like it a little cooler. Have you ran this plant before?

This is what I can only assume is wind burn. Only leaf on the plant that has this and it's been against the fan since flower so almost 6 weeks
