I have seen, the same 450 lit up in a 5x5, upgraded from 2 600 mars. his PQ last run was definitely improved in both yield/and jar appeal. their single LED units where not bad, but not stand out either. they have sort of a checked past, I think they have changed management at some point.

really interested on your data on this product. please.

I think you mean amare so I will post some information for any one else interested. First any question you should talk to Victor, guy is really great at responding in a decent time frame. They also just had a 4/20 sale think I got my unit for around 900ish with the sale. Any one interested you should email him see if they still have it going on as well.

Keep in mind I haven't seen a lot of grows with this light, but it did meet what I felt was my needs of what I was looking in the light. So I picked it for that reason, not because it's better then some other light. I had a few lights I almost went with. But again I did want to try the Cobs but wanted the multi spec (lights going around the amare solar eclipse) and Uvb.

It also had a 5 year bumper to bumper warrenty, my current lights only have 3 years and its almost over, so that was important as well. Just wanted to list some of the reasons I went with that light and what was going through my mind at the time. And I am interested to try it up against my current lights and during the winter time I will put it against my 600watt hps.

But I did ask him some questions ill post what I got here for any one.

Can you recommend me a few choices for a 2.5x4 spot? I do like your cobs do you offer any 3090? On the solar specs I think it was.

I haven read about led power drivers I am doing that now. What is different about LSD Power from mean well?
LSD Power are excellent drivers that are IP67 waterproof certified. Meanwell is a proven premium UL listed manufacturer that boast a very stable power delivery and excellent reliability.

Also, I was looking at your picture there it looked like you combined your solar specs with your solar eclipse. Was wonder if the solar specs are meant to be more of a booster of lighting rather then being its own light? It looked cool, just wondering.

The 5w monochrome diode clusters are almost half of the total panel wattage and are meant as a primary lighting source. It's a cooler spectrum similar to spring sunlight that's ideal for vegging and growth. The cluster lenses system powered by 5w CREE XP-G2 and XP-E2 actually has better canopy penetration than COBs of equal wattage. The cooler spectrum also makes the par spectrum more balanced and complete for maximum growth. Our spectrum delivers the entire par spectrum at very high level similar to natural sunlight with additional blue, IR and red enhancements for maximum growth and flowering results. Our COB panels are the first and only ones to offer an enhanced white spectrum tuned and tested specifically for cannabis. Running only the 3000k, 3500k and 5000k COB spectrum is a compromise of either lacking blues for growth and reduced stretching or reds for flowering. Our spectrum is a combination of both with a boost in the blue, red and IR for growth and yield.

Thanks a lot Sooled, what do you think about the 5000k is it necesary with 4 cxb3590 3500k, some post are old before the cxb3590 3500k, and they add the 5000k for siblings and veg , but most new post are just CXB3590 3000k or 3500k , but they dont add the 5000k.. will make a diference or not really? have not found that info yet... thanks
one of the DIY gurus, will come by I'm sure. but ive seen them mix'em up. most of production units are on 35k or 4k if I'm not mistaken.

they are a stones throw from my house, they will be at the canna expo in SD too. I think cal light works, is still based on some early LED's designs. the 450, is on par with newer technologies for sure.

And yeah, I got the CFL a few years ago they been good but after reading so much and all the helpful people I do agree they are out dated. I asked them if they was making any thing new, they just stopped answering me. But they do have good support so far.

Can you grow all the way with 4000k? For my micro tent 35x35x60cm, and I was going to either buy 4x CXA 2530 4000k from Fast Tech and put it on Mean Well elg-100-c700 driver, or should I buy 2x CXB 3070 BB bin if I buy 3500k or AB bin for 3000k, what would you suggest

4000k is even preferred by some very fine growers. I have flowered under 3750k and 4000k with great results but more leafy with slightly less dense buds which were and are quite sticky. Done it with cmh and LEDs with similar effects. Plants seem very happy at 4000k and will be more compact in height than hps at 2200k. They also stay green longer at my house.

Awesome write up! As for Solar Specs you should check out Weed Dude's journals over on another forum. He has several grows using them. What a cool feature of the lights are the included brackets which allow you to attach several individual units into one larger unit. You can build your own light system depending on your needs.

Yep, that part was interesting. I know the solar eclipse are powerful enough to do their own. But I thought that picture was really cool and I did ask what the use of those lights, it supposed to be a booster type add on?

My apology for the confusion. I was referring to the surrounding 5w monochrome diodes around the COBs. You are referring to our SolarSymphony with the Eclipse attached to the SS150 monochrome panels. Yes, the Eclipse is more than sufficient by itself as it's designed for primary lighting. It's actually also a dual COB/monochrome spectrum by itself. The SolarSymphony is for growers who a currently using either a COB or monochrome panel that needs more coverage as to why the additional panels. The dual spectrum compliments each other and our cases feature our patented attachment design that allows them to attach to each other via supplied H-brackets.

That's cool. I don't have a ton of space so I may never get the chance to try them. But I think it's really cool to have the option if you wanted to stay in the same line. Tbh I didn't see any other lights offering add on type deal.

But yeah was a really cool picture.

Hey I'm relatively new to led's and I wondering what would be a good light to start with in a 90cmx90cm l/w and 180cm high grow tent ? I'm interested in a diy project but if there is a light under 200dollars that's premade and would fit my tent am sort of on a budget and want something good and cheap

that's roughly a 3x3

that's all for $200usdm: but you would be a under lit.

for $200 there are other lights using a color spectrum (pinkish) that work in that price range. However current trending data is supporting full spectrum (white) light: lighting solutions like COB's above.

if it was me: with that $200 get a 600 watt hps and ballast, with excellent coverage.

other options:

a single 315watt CMH is about $350-400usdm that would work well too in that space. over budget

on that site above there is a 2100 for $360 two of those would be joy in a 3x3, but again well over budget.

ebay has a sale on marshydro 2x300 units for $151.00 if you must have LED's and must keep your budget.
I would expect amicable results if all other factors are spot on.

Or you could build one for the $200 easy. 4 cxb3070's for $120. An hlg185h-c1400b for $40, & a 36" 5.886"profile heatsink from heatsinkusa.com for $40. Vuah-lah. Shipping costs would be another $50 more or less but you'd be close.

I rolled with the Mars hydros for awhile. They did just as good as the hps. eBay 600 watt panel came to 150 shipped. Not pulling lbs but for a first grow it's easy and cheap. From my research cobs are the best solution and by far the best technology. Best part is once you initially invest in them it's easy to add to. Where a cheap Mars hydro collects dust in a closet.

are the 100w cobs on ebay good for a cheap way to get into these lights? 60$ per cob seems a bit much, and would 4 3590s be better then a tasty t2 2100?

The higher the Efficiency the higher the cost. eBay cobs may put out watts but the plant will definitely see less compared to a cree. With that comes more unwanted heat.
