Title says it all, what do u led geeks think of that light? I can't imagine spending that kind of cash for 110watts buts they are made with CREE!!!?

Well it's from a51. So..... it's a pre order and its older tech. If you pre-order it. You probably won't get it for 4-6 months. Then if anything goes wrong. A51 doesn't honor their warranties anymore. So you will be fixing it yourself. It's highly over priced as well

I think it's a real shame that A51 have such malpractices, when less than 5 months ago, they were among the few that were recommended here.
Personally I own a XGS and RW75, which work great for almost two years. Regarding the new panel offered for $500, it is clearly overpriced, and for that money, would not think twice for a TastyLed.

So this is the LED's they could potentially use in the upgrade kits that was promised a while ago?

I can second the fact they don't honor there warranty anymore. I've been straight ignored don't deal with them. He's taking the money and running. I got the emails to prove it.

I recently got an email from A51 about my warranty request, I was told some emails I sent may have went to theyre spam folder. They asked me to resend info. They were attached to original email warranty request which were answered then the others got marked as spam? Whatever, I'll resend info. Still pretty disappointing this started in November.

This is why I went with tasty ....area51 seem like it had poor customer service and from what I have read so far I'm glad I went with tasty. The customer service is the best all I can hope for now is that it stays that way.

Can you explain in a few words why is it an heresy to speak about the "photon output" ? I don't get where's the problem. Thanks.

What happens with A51 ? Was there a big change in the company (new boss, new location ?), i was in the impression that they were still one of the top notch company a few month ago. How one company can go from the top to bottom so fast ?

lol so I gotta have a quantum physics degree to buy a lamp now or something? jp but for real It sounds like a lot of sales speak.. You will be taking advantage of people who may think they're getting a lamp with the same footprint for cheaper.. When in reality you're paying a couple cents more per watt..

Honestly eraserhead used to seem like an ok dude.. And i liked what he did with the sgs and rw.. when he did it originally..

Then he started coming on here and getting into it with people.. which I really couldn't care less about.. but showing his paypal account was bush league and with all the pre-order back-order crap it's like the company's being ran by a dope fiend or something..

A51 used to be one of the kings of the castle.. Now it seems as though he's having a hard time keeping up.. Seems cobs kinda evened the playing field some.. Not to mention I remember more than a couple times where EH has talked up mythical machines of wonder that nobody has ever seen..

Basically to summarize.. To run a business where the three products offered are either "coming soon" "pre-order" or "sold out" is... bunk to say the least.. He hasn't released anything that has been game changing in A WHILE.. His pricing is kinda :roll: and there are officially a handful of better options out there now..

I used to be one of his biggest supporters but for the reasons listed above I highly doubt I would ever spend another dime with dude..



BTW my 315w CMH kicks anything he's been putting out at a fraction of the price.. Just saying

I knew the tide would turn on this guy eventually. He got away with acting like he did because he was the only real game in town....back in the day. But, now, he's just one among many, many, MANY companies -hungry companies.

Be kind to people on your way up, because you'll damn sure see them, again, on your way down.
