Christ, the courts ruled that patients must be allowed to grow their own as anything else is a violation of our charter of rights and freedoms as won in Allard. Simple really. All the Alex Jones tinfoil hat government conspiracies wont change that. There is NO proof to anything otherwise. Anything beyond that is speculation.
it will be the regulations that fuck people....sure every patient will have the right to grow because of Phelan's decision...and this is speculation, however, I see things like you will have to own your own property to grow or have permission from the homeowner...so while I may have the right to grow, for the sake of the children, I will have to do that within whatever regulations they come up with....plant counts...still allow you to grow, just a certain amount....all keeping with Phelan's decision....I'm not trying to be doom and gloom just realistic...august is going to be an interesting month.

All those in Prison will likely remain there, reason being is, they broke the law when it was in force and they were convicted. I did hear of a judge that gave a penalty of $1 to a french fella that had been caught with 30 plants.
You think none of those convicted won't lawyer up and try and fight it?

Well after some reading its illegal to distil or posses distilling equipment for alcohol ie vodka/spirits in Canada. I'm thinking from what the Libs are saying these fuckers will lock it down to make money and only way to grow your own will be a medical exemption or a special license. You can even get in shit for distilling water and it changes depending on the province.
I think that has a lot to do with the danger of poisoning more so than control over who produces. When was the last time a Canadian was charged with possessing a still for personal use? There is no such restriction for the production of any other alcohol for personal consumption. I'm still putting my money on personal growing being part of legalization until I hear something to convince me otherwise. I've heard nothing yet that would suggest I'm wrong.

just because we got our right to grow doesn't mean the fight is over.
if you look at MMJ-we had to fight to have it for medical use but there was no legal source. Gov't didn't think of that-you can have it but you can't produce it..hee hee
then we had to fight to produce it...then they said only one person per DG so we had to go back to court...so they gave us 2 people per DG hee hee
then we had to fight that you could only have 2 (or 3 not sure) gardens per address so we went back to court...so they made it to 4 per address hee hee
they do the bare minimum. i don't see this will change and I am very curious

Agree to disagree then. Some people just always expect the worst in life. o_O For those without, being able to have even ONE garden per address is a win, while others bitch and piss and moan like children about not having free reign on plant count or multiple gardens per address. Comes off kinda petty when you consider some have been denied the right AT ALL to grow. I guess some aren't happy with that simple fact.

i was pointing out the road to where we are now.
the fact we can have MMJ and produce our own is fantastic!
we have had to fight for every inch we got. and then fight again

I agree hippy and I'm hopeing that everything will be fine but until bill the pig Blair is released from the head of legalization a lot of people in the canabis community will have a hard time having his biased bacon ass making law around cannabis. when not to many years ago he was head of the goon squad arresting the same group of people (and labeled them criminals)from what he now sees as a source of income..... Talk about leaving a fox in charge of the hen house.....
