Drooping plants and miscolored

Hello everyone.

I have some plants I was trying to keep as mothers, and they are really lookin sick. They have drooping leaves, and purple streaks on the leaves. I have been feeding them pretty lightly with the GH Flora line and calmag and super thrive. I really have no idea what is going on here. I don't water frequently, so I believe root root isn't likely. But there is a funny propane like smell in the basement and I'm wondering if it is associated with the plants. Can someone please look at these pics and share their opinion?

I'm giving it 1 ml of bloom, is that to much in veg? They do look root bound though. How does one keep a mother in a 5 gallon pot and stave off root issues?

That purple color leads me to believe it is heavy on the bloom.

Why give it bloom nutes in veg? What is the final npk of what you're using?

I still say too much bloom.

Maybe root bound on top of it. Probably a combination.

Do you water until runoff? How much run off if so?

I was given a feeding schedule by a guy that runs a commercial grow op in Seattle. It calls for 1 ml of bloom per gallon. I will dial it back, flush and transplant. Thanks for the info guys.

I water every other day. I feed every weekday and flush on Saturday. I don't think I am running enough water through when flushing though.

Try watering a little less. Lime every third day.

When you water and when you feed try to get 20% run off. That will help with salt buildup.

Air pot or fabric pot. It will air prune the roots for you. It will help not get root bound.

Don't use a feeding chart.

Don't let a chart tell you when to feed a plant. Let the plant tell you when it needs fed.

I would flush again and then let it dry out. Looks a tad bit over watered.

I would drop the bloom. When you start feeding again drop it back to 1/4 strength and then work back up.

Feeding charts and nuts companies have you feed too much. They sell more product.

Not all strains lime the same feed. Some will like extra N. Some less. Same with P and K.

You said you are watering with super thrive.....

You should only feed a plant super thrive once, at most twice...

What's the pH of your run off? It looks like a lock out from low pH combined with some root issues.

What medium are you growing in? Water quality? Have enough air flow?

Moms need a complete diet. Veg nutes aren't enough. I've had good luck with 3 part programs in both peat and coco based mediums.

The grow formula should have enough. Why does it need extra bloom in veg?



You don't need extra in veg. Don't really need extra in bloom.

It would have splotches and brown necrotic spots.

The yellow leaves match but that's it. The yellow leaves are most likely from over water.
It can cause purple. Not usually. In vegetative state it will look like this.
