5/6 weeks into flowering and hairs are all orange

I'm trying to make sure you don't paint a target on your back for people to fuck with you. Everyone wants to fit in somewhere, and I'm sure you fit in here. Just be chill.

I was going to tell you, I don't grow autos, but your plants look gorgeous. Pretty close to harvest. Probably a week or two left.

I'd heed what I have to say: if you start slinging bullshit here, you're going to get called on it. I'm one of the nicer ones. My friends will nail you to the floor. So try to learn rather than make things up. I'm only trying to help you before you get shit on.
I don't think by saying nailing her to the floor is a great way to start off. Not nice at all

I just want you to know, if you aren't straight about shit, you look either shady or stupid to people here, and neither you nor I, nor anyone else here wants to set you up for failure.

Just be straight. If you don't know, find out.

Like I said, other people would be more cruel, I'm just being no-nonsense about it. I'm trying to prevent her from getting messed with by some people that don't take well to bullshit. She is clearly sensitive. So it's best to tell her before she says the wrong thing to the right kind of person.

Your relatively new around here olive, these people you have tagged will not stand behind you.
You cannot simply crucify somebody like that just because of one statement.
Perhaps OP didn't know any better or isn't as far advanced as you are.
You've ruined o.p thread with your constant dribble and toxic ego perhaps get outside for a bit.

I'm 5/6 weeks into flowering with my girl scout cookies auto and the hairs have turned mostly all orange. There are some white ones still but not many. I'm using 2 mini LEDs and the temperature ranges from 73 to 75 with lights on. I used to have a t5 in my grow space also and the temps were getting up to 86 degrees in there. I've checked triches and they are all clear still. I'm just hoping the buds are still going to swell.
honey.. you failed by going autoflower anyaway,, tust my buddy @Olive Drab Green .. he know what hes doing ... most growers here wont go auto for some specific reason.... breeder lies, plant truancy or hust general negligence .. my thing is,, nobody wanted to steer you in the wrong direction..
like i said to you buddy, why focus on x yields when you can worry about y yields

I started out with autos BC I had the wrong impression about regular seeds apparently.. From what I thought, they grow super tall and produce a lot. I grow indoors in a closet so I don't have the space for something huge

Ok. There are a bunch of leaves that hang below the pot that get no light so I'll trim those and I've been trying to tuck the rest of them. I'm definitely going to have to find something to hold the branches up.. Thanks for your help!
Don't cut them. Leaves don't block light. They absorb it.

yeah but you don't want your lower buds being shadowed by fan leaves so far away from light because realistically these low fan leaves are absorbing little to no light anyway as the foot candles don't carry that far.
After a certain difference even with a 1000w hid you hit a point where the light received is less than 2000 lumens at distance which is pointless

Then the plant will shed it on its own.

In the defoilation thread there were some good comparisons done. Popcorn bud will be popcorn bud. Taking leaves has little effect. If popcorn is a problem then it would be better suited taking those limbs before flower.

Looks like you're doing just fine.

Very true, however.
Through my own experiments I have found that defoliating twice during a long veg will allow certain mains to slow growth and the smaller ones to catch up.
And during early flower open the way for more light penetration which in turn produces buds of 3G plus to your "popcorn" sites.
If one plays around enough defoliation and plant training can turn even an average yielding strain to be so much more.

I need more seeds so I can experiment. I have a few strains. Let me know if you have grown any of the following and if they were any good... I've got think different, berry bomb, auto kush, dark devil, cheese, cash crop, kush bomb.

I'll agree to an extent. I'll agree that with a scrog, LST, topping, fimmimg, and other training methods you do get more leaves. I would thin some.

There are other reasons I would trim leaves. One being to increase airflow to thick canopies to prevent mold or rot. There are a few reasons to do it. Here is my thing. Telling a new grower to do it can be more detrimental than beneficial. Also with an untopped auto I can't think of a reason. Air flow and light penetration are optimal, that's the plants design.

I'll even bite on the extra yield part. I'd wager that with a growth style that required extra veg time is the reason for yield increase, not the leaf trimming.

The yield on a strain will be very close on a uuntopped, topped, and scrog plant in ideal, optimal conditions with the same veg time. It only changes the proportions of the buds you get off of it.

Untopped you would have one large and a bunch of small buds. A topped plant with four colas would have four colas like the first plant just smaller with even more smaller buds. The scrog plant would have a lot of colas like the untopped just a bit smaller with lots more smaller buds, unless lollipopped.

The only reason you get extra yield on the topped or scrog is the extra veg times.
