Nice Set up Netherfly! I have the same extractor fan, although I bought it when they were called Airforce2. its an 8" and a beautiful thing indeed. Your the first person ive seen using one(admittedly ive not looked at threads for some years). Mines been running 24hours a day for 5 years and not a bit of warmth or a single problem.

I'm not able to choose between my replies so will post them all.

Where are you hiding the hps ;)

I always knew it wasn't the cobs but the growers.

Sure, it takes a Dutch guy to make white cobs look good.

Seriously, nice job man, proper trim job too, high swollen up calyx to leaf ratio. You should post it at wf, before the shill promoting Mars leds succeeds...

35 days of veg @ 170w
60 days of bloom @ 520W

Wet weight: a little over 2000 grams (or 71 ounces) of quality bud

Beside that I also threw a lot of popcorn buds in the B.H.O. designated buckets, making a very critical selection :bigjoint:
Next Northern Lights Blue grow will be a tight SCROGG field with a shorter veg period, minimizing this.

Thanks man, i haven't been on Wietforum for almost a decade, and my account password seems unrecoverable ;-)
Didn't Wietefras also set a nice example with white COB's over there?

Looks great, I like the drying net thing you use too.
Pretty much standard grow gear in NL. I got one but never use it, dries too fast for me.

Hey Netherfly, we go way back then, I got a nearly decade old account there too which I can't access (seajay). Wietefras had some problems last round but yeah not too bad. There are a few others using led and more who are interested in diy and your setup, typical space, plant count, and results would make an inspirational example. If you shoot djbroertje a pm with a new account he can probably reset it.

@Sativied can you tell me what method of drying you prefer?
I'll have a look at Wietforum again, if i can get my account back, i'll post a nice recap of this topic.

Right now I moved the harvest to the little tent, with less air movement so it can dry at a slower rate.

The big tent ready to go again!
I got a net laying on top of the COB array for shortly drying the premium cuttings.
Of course the lamps are off during drying ;)

@Netherfly: If it's humid bud rot season I trim most or even all leaves and sometimes chop up colas too. But usually, I just cut my plants at the base, remove some large fan leaves and hang them up side down, dim the exhaust to 25%. So basically with leaves and stem. Ime it results in more robust taste than with the net even when I control temp and humidity. More noticeable with non-haze varieties.

Best to stick with what works for you especially when it comes to drying but it's easy to try with one cola or plant. Only downside, trimming dry is far less convenient.

It is really easy to rupture trichs on a freshly harvested plant.

For this reason I don't "big-leaf", "pre-trim", "clean-up" the Colas in any way, shape or form before hanging them. Unless you're in a rush to dry out your crop, it will retain more volatiles the less you fuck with it.

I also store it untrimmed for this reason. If I could part with it untrimmed I would.

There is no reason to make your bud look clean and sexy before you're ready to grind it up and smoke it. I don't buy pre-ground spices for this same reason. One day we'll be able to purchase untrimmed bud instead of the stale horseshit everyone insists on because it looks pretty in the jar.

Grow looks great, apologies for the unsolicited rant but I feel very strongly about this subject.

Thanks guys, next grow i'll have myself an experiment in drying fo show!

that mutant is a polyploid. probably going to take longer to mature, but should be a beast in theory, not always the case though : )
Indeed, this was pointed out by @Sativied earlier, and you're right it was by far the biggest yielder of all the plants :-D

Damn... Jerry is fast these days!
