Here's an old thread where people are saying it's organic based. Not organic. I'm pretty sure it has salts in it for feeding. At least it felt that way when I got some in my cut. If so, those salts will kill microbes off.

I don't think there is any doubt it contains some kind of ammonia based nitrogen after my past two days. I cleaned my grow room out night before last and used bleach top to bottom. Evidently some of the ammonia from fertilizer soaked into the concrete I guess, as you can see spots where overspill has actually etched into th concrete and I was breathing in toxic gas for awhile I guess when the bleach mixed with the ammonia. Eyes started to swell shut and burn and then I coughed non stop all day yesterday and all last night, so the mixture is only thing I can think of. Finally feel some better. I read the affects can last in lungs for up to a year in severe cases. Burned the hell out of my mucus membranes.

Gave the plants their maxsea yesterday, never ceases to amaze me how quick plants respond to that. The biggest plants in the 10s are definitely ready to come out, shooting to transplant the full moon, have to look again but I am wanting to say its the 21st or 23rd. Definitely excited to get them into their homes.

Got a 5th bangi haze in the ground behind the greenhouse. its not showing sex, but its the very last one, and I figure if it hasn't yet, its female. I will watch it, and once it shows female, Ill throw the cage on her. Gonna need to get more straw bales for mulch, but all in all, wheels of progress are turning.

got the Beans, lettuces, salad mix, dill, lavender planted. Also, got seeds in the ground of bush peas, as well as all my melons / squashes. Also got all my starts this weekend from johnson brothers / territorial, and will be getting them in the ground after my lunch break lol. Its that time of year, work work work!

I got some cool random seeds as well, so got those in the ground as well.

From memory - some black-rind African watermelon, khadari sweet melons, baking pumpkin pies, Mexican sweet melons, some cantaloupe things, cant recall name now lol. gotta love that stoner memory!

Yea, thats the stage Im at! Cant wait for this next indoor cycle to come down, I think its gonna be of my biggest indoor harvests to date, knock on wood. Hoping to pull enough to get a kick ass dehumidifier for the greenhouse, Luckily I have my amendments for the next transplanting, just need my pots and base back from the indoor ladies.

You plant above ground fruiting plants on the waxing moon (NOW), and below ground fruiting plants during the warning moon (after the full moon). Here's some info I copied and pasted here.

The Moon's phases guided many a farmer and gardener in the past, and still do today:
The New Moon and first quarter, or waxing phases, are considered fertile and wet.
  • The new and first-quarter phases, known as the light of the Moon, are considered good for planting above-ground crops, putting down sod, grafting trees, and transplanting.
  • From full Moon through the last quarter, or the dark of the Moon, is the best time for killing weeds, thinning, pruning, mowing, cutting timber, and planting below-ground crops.
  • The time just before the full Moon is considered particularly wet, and is best for planting during drought conditions.

Exactly, Once I read that in the Farmers Almanac I've ALWAYS planted by the moon phases. I'm a firm believer in that old school logic/thinking.
Vnsmkr, your a "no bullshit" type of dude, and I like that in a person. You just say it like you see it, no masking your thoughts. I always like your views on issues.

TMB I appreciate that bro. Brutal honesty is what I like to call it. I dont like people bullshitting me and I dont like to bullshit people either. I follow the farmers almanac too by the moons, its the only way to plant imo. Heres a digital link http://farmersalmanac.com/calendar/gardening/

I learned "going by the signs" as the old folks around here called it from the time I was a small child. I remember my uncle planting tobacco plant beds and not going by the signs to plant and his beds being dismal compared to years when he did. Hell, they did lots of stuff according to moon phases.

They even followed the phases for things such as when to cut down trees for a log cabin or barn, so as they wouldn't rot. Then in the days before solid block foundations they would set corner rocks and claimed if you didn't set the rocks by the signs they would sink in a few years. There has to be something to that stuff as I've climbed up in and ran tobacco in old log barns that were built in the mid 1800s, while others were literally rotted to the ground. Maybe it was something else, but they sure believe in it.

Hardly anybody I know follows that anymore, but then again the tobacco plants are grown in floating greenhouses and the barns are modern pole barns. Good memories.

Oh dang, I had it backwards. Thanks for clearing that up for me @treemansbuds I better get them in the ground asap! I been wanting them in the ground anyway, so that's even better.
