Sup any body use 1000w grow lights with digital ballast without rf issues if so name the brand or a link I'm planning on upgrading not sure to pick between a magnetic or digital are both just as good?
The phantom looks pricey but well worth it def going with that one thanks bro!Check out Galaxy and Phantom. They are digital ballast and FCC approved. Galaxy even posts their FCC Docs on their web site. Couple videos on youtube of a guy testing his galaxy ballast with an A.M. radio.
Been using a galaxy for a couple years no problems with neighbors, radio or tv. also uses hps or mh. Bulbs mine is switchable 250-400w. $130.00The phantom looks pricey but well worth it def going with that one thanks bro!
Ya, Galaxy even has their FCC docs on there web site. I have never used one though. Have you ever done the A.M. radio test on yours, just to see?Been using a galaxy for a couple years no problems with neighbors, radio or tv. also uses hps or mh. Bulbs mine is switchable 250-400w. $130.00
I have 2 400ws in my room closet one I power one pro dimmable haven't had no problems with my WiFi or neighbors I just wanna up to 1000 for better yields than coverageBeen using a galaxy for a couple years no problems with neighbors, radio or tv. also uses hps or mh. so if I buy two of these it will be as good or better than a 1000w HPS and cost half then the hps to run?The best way is to not get a ballast that wouldn't emit EMI to begin with.
COB LED runs on DC, so no EMI there.
Low frequency ballasts like mags and those that run 315W CMH lights are also non emitters, and they have the advantage of being very efficient.
@Revolution Micro has just come out with a LFSW ballast for DE lamps, I'm testing it now to see how it works.
I haven't deliberately tested it just lived in a duplex & everyone had Comcast but as I'm a legal grower I never gave it much thought I have read numerous threads about digital ballasts causing problems but lately all that seems to have eased up in the past I've always had magnetic ballast to be honest I can't really tell any differenceYa, Galaxy even has their FCC docs on there web site. Cheap Chinese ballasts will screw everything up.I haven't deliberately tested it just lived in a duplex & everyone had Comcast but as I'm a legal grower I never gave it much thought I have read numerous threads about digital ballasts causing problems but lately all that seems to have eased up in the past I've always had magnetic ballast to be honest I can't really tell any difference
Why not try one of the lights that manufacturers are advertising here on RIU? Northern, Tasty, Johnson, Pacific. ..so if I buy two of these it will be as good or better than a 1000w HPS and cost half then the hps to run?
Well you haven't even answered my question so why would I wanna try them yet I'm a bit skeptical to the truth behind LEDs how Can they run double the watts but consume only halfWhy not try one of the lights that manufacturers are advertising here on RIU? Northern, Tasty, Johnson, Pacific. ..
YesAnd this is like the 3rd time u mention COB LEDs so that's what I searched for are the ones being advertised better?
If you are considering going LED, you need to do a little research first. Those lights are not too bad, but there are better. Consider (and the better route) making your own DIY LED light using the Cree CXB 3590's.so if I buy two of these it will be as good or better than a 1000w HPS and cost half then the hps to run?
I mentioned several alternatives. I didn't respond earlier because you weren't specific.so if I buy two of these it will be as good or better than a 1000w HPS and cost half then the hps to run?
