So I'm going on week 12 of my royal creamatic and I'm wondering how long this is actually going to take. I've been watching some other ppls grows on forums and YouTube and they were done at a little over 8 weeks. My trichomes are still milky. Very few are a light orange color. None have gotten an amber color yet. My question is do you want the trichomes to get a dark amber or is it just as long as they have turned color from milky? I'm looking for a couch lock stone. I don't have pictures of the triches just yet but I have checked them and 95% are still milky/clear. Also about how much longer will this one grow??

Its pretty and yes it looks done...but if you want that couch lock...give it another week and check again. Yes they will turn amber...like dark! A lot can happen in a week...but Im guessing 2 maybe if they are still mostly milky and clear. And look at it this way.... 25% of the bud mass can come in the final two weeks. Good luck.

Thank you ! That information was so helpful! I'll be looking for dark trichomes in the next couple weeks...I can't wait until the bud swells. I grew a dutch treat and I let the bud go for a while and it started fox tailing.. Hope that doesn't happen again!

I'm on a phone, so can't zoom in or get a great look like a computer but...

That plant looks like it has already swoll, and some sativas won't turn amber..that's definitely a sativa dominant plant and trics will continue to mature for 5-6 days after chop and drying..

Look's done i agree, may be push it another 5/7 days if you wanted, but great to see someone that has let the plant go full term well done dude,is this strain a haze 12 week's long time ,i have had nevilles haze and arjons ultra haze go that long but,i tend to go with the 9/10 week strains now

I also like to pick when the heads, are milky rather than the color of larger,i think the bud taste sweeter,Look's great though i'm not far behind you about time too i'm down to my last 6 gram of bho and 1/8th hash,i'm even low on r/s oil this time,so at least a lb of this crop will be going to r/s oil

Nice looking bud's enjoy

Agreed! Corso is very correct! Some sativa's won't amber up much if at all. I might give it 5-7 days and if no change - harvest!

Next point would be. It's a sativa dominate plant, your not going to get as much "couch lock" from it as you want! Next time grow an Indica for that effect...Try Kosher Kush - Very "locky" and have plenty of munchies around!

Foxtailing is either genetic or stress induced. Stress can be heat or cold and of course, running too long. Once a sativa that has been running longer then it should starts to foxtail. It's a good indicator that it's done - harvest it.

This plant is from Herbies Head shop and its royal seeds royal creamatic. The pot has dried up significantly over the past few days so it's still drinking a good bit.. I'm getting ready to check the trichomes now. Will post pics when I'm done so you guys can all see. Thanks for everyone's input I appreciate it. This one has not fox tailed and I'm hoping it doesn't but I run 10 band LEDs so the hottest it gets in the the room is 79 with the lights on and I have them about 4 foot away from the top of my plant.

I believe those may be translucent but not yet milky. Translucent means we are currently making a ton of THC. You have a 1 or 2 weeks likely unless your environment is off it can stall on you. I know how it is I am also a stoner but don't take all of it if you are going to swipe some.

It just seems its taking longer than it should. I can't wait to try it! It has a fruity smell... Almost like fruity pebbles. Smells really good so I'm ready to try it. Can anyone tell me why when you put your bud in jars it gets that hay smell? My girl scout cookies currently is smelling like that and it's not too pleasing...
