Oooo, breakin' out those deadly words and personal insults. My gosh, what will I do to survive this. Ya know, when people start in with the insults, it just shows they don't have the grey matter between their ears to offer anything intelligent. And come on, you can do better than that. Idiot? That's like a 3rd grade insult. If you're going to proclaim your lack of grey matter to the world, don't be so half-assed about it.

Not seen in the MSM are the facts about John McCain and the deal he made with the Viet Cong to get special treatment.
A couple of swift-boat sites. Yawn.
In that spirit, here is a claim that Barry Obama got his cock smoked by a partyboy on a coke binge in 1999.
Obama: Man Claims Gay Sex, Drugs in '99 with Barack
In 1993, during one of his many trips back to Hanoi, McCain asked the Vietnamese not to make public the records they hold pertaining to returned U.S. POWs.
John McCain blocks investigation of missing POW's and MIA's to save his political career. | polidics.com
I looked up that item about 1993 and could only find references to it in talkbacks on blogs and such. It's all in the echo chamber. Is there an actual source for this assertion?

Please note it says he asked that all POW records be held, not just his.

There were some interesting items.
The Code holds U.S. prisoners of war responsible to protect--at whatever cost--the cause for which the United States stands by continuing to carry on some form of resistance with the enemy. The establishment of the Code of Conduct was the result of what was considered in 1955 an embarrassing high number of U.S. servicemen held prisoner during the Korean War who apparently did little to resist collaborating with the enemy.

According to a Congressional Research Service Report (CRS), one out of every three American prisoners of the North Koreans and Chinese collaborated. The degree of collaboration ranged from such serious offenses as actually siding with the enemy to the relatively insignificant offense of broadcasting Christmas greetings home and therefore putting the communists in favorable light.
It seems like the U.S. Military was serious about dealing with collaborators. Why was not he disciplined upon his return?
Former Senators, Governors
and political records flat out nail John McCain as a scared little man on the run from a history of lies and deceit.

John McCain: The Manchurian Candidate
All the proof at this site is no longer available for viewing. :-|

I'll tell you who is a better candidate to be a Manchurian candidate: Barak Hussein Obama.

The man who campaigns in Europe. The man who brings us the Global Poverty Act. The man who would be President of the World.

The man born a Muslim and his campaign simply lies about it. Forget the possibility that he was raised a good Muslim until leaving Indonesia, that's irrelevant.

His daddy was a Muslim, his half-brothers and half-sisters, born before and after him, were born Muslim and are Muslim. Islam is a patriarchal religion, yet he can't even admit he was BORN a Muslim.

If there is a sleeper agent in play during this election it is Barak Hussein Obama. Hands down.

The rise of Western Civilization came about after the Christian Reformation. It took centuries to realize the full benefits of the reformation. It was a slow process, but Christianity did reform itself.

Islam has had no reformation. Little has changed since Islam's Golden Age.

There's one big problem with having a Muslim president. We are at WAR with Islam in a clash of civilizations begun in 1973 with the OPEC oil embargo.

McCain harassed him into going and then it backfired on him...
This is not McCain's fault.

Obama decided to combine an official visit with a campaign event. The choices he made were his.

In his speech last night to the Republican National Convention, President Bush talked about a lot of different things: Hurricane Gustav, oil drilling, a painting of a mountain in Texas, and his wife Laura.
But there was something missing from Bush's speech -- any mention whatsoever of the economy.
Of course, he had good reason to avoid this topic. Right now the economy is in shambles for the majority of Americans. Unemployment is way up, wages are down, millions of homes are in foreclosure -- and much of the blame falls on George W. Bush.
Now John McCain is proposing an economic plan that doubles-down on Bush's failed policies. Like the President, McCain probably doesn't want to talk a whole lot about this -- in fact he readily admits the economy is not his strong suit. Last December, McCain told the Boston Globe,
"The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should."

it was calculated different...
Really? Would you take the time to spell out the differences? Thanks ...

Oh, by the way, the economy grew by 3.5 percent over the last quarter.
Did they calculate that differently too? bongsmilie

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that 95% of home owners are paying their mortages on time each month. :bigjoint:

A familiar refrain.
That may be true, but this is different.
How do you figure unemployment rates? How do you know the calculus is different from the Clinton era?

When I was a kid in Sunday School, they told us the same thing.

Jesus really didn't drink wine. Things were different then. They didn't know how to ferment wine. It was just grape juice.

Then you know who benefits from the forclosures ... so why ask the question? :bigjoint:

Yes VI, the people with money benefit, as always. No regard for the poor family that got snookered by some thieving salesman and unscroupulous lender, then had their payments skyrocket out of control. I'm sure you didn't question anyone's ability to pay for the home once it was sold. Let the buyer beware, isn't that your motto?

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Much has been made of allegations of possible youthful use of illegal drugs by Republican presidential candidate George W. Bush. Meanwhile, his chief GOP opponent, Arizona Sen. John McCain, has admitted that his wife not only illegally used drugs but walked away from criminal charges. The McCains have worked to make Cindy McCain's addiction into a political asset--despite the fact that she stole the drugs from a charity she directed and used them while mothering four young children. In 1994, Mrs. McCain admitted that she had solicited prescriptions for painkillers from physicians who worked for an international charity that she founded, the American Voluntary Medical Team. She then filled the prescriptions in the names of her staff.

Actually, that is one of my mottos. "Buyer Beware!" In other words, take personal responsibility for your actions. If you lie about your income and inflate it in order to obtain a loan on a property you really can't afford, with the expectation that the property will continue to appreciate, and you will make a killing ... then YES, you deserve to take a bath on the property when the market takes a dump. Your loss is someone else's gain.

Did it ever occur to you that 8 years ago the people could afford their homes? Gas was 1.44 / gallon 8 years ago. Now it has recently been over $4.00/ gallon. Wages have not taken that same jump.

Along with gas taking a huge leap, health costs are way up, health care for profit doesn't really benefit the masses. Prescription costs have taken a huge jump. Even food costs are up. An item that cost me $7.35 at the beginning of this summer cost $8.83 just 3 weeks ago. That is a huge jump, and it was only 1 item.

Layoffs can and will touch every segment of society. Shit is going to get a lot worse and I don't see it getting better. When the banks fold, more jobs are lost. It's like the energizer bunny, it keeps going and going and going.
