Just bought a Fernco pvc coupling. Guy at the local hydro store recommended it.
LOLyup, leaving holes or cracks will let out SOOOO much stink,, and you will think your filter isnt working,,,
nice tape job
alright,, now we jive,, i get ya,, issues,, sick ,, sore,, get off booze,, Mj / cannabis does it all,,LOL
I didn't want to take it back down to tape it and I have a flood table underneath with a T5 overhead so I did my best to reach up and around and do it. Oh and I have 2 bad shoulders that need surgery too LOL
how did you seal the air leaks? after you screwed it?Just drill some pilot holmeanes through the filter and fan and run 4 screws in around it and tape it up a little. I tried taping it together, using a clamp, etc. After awhile it just falls apart. Screwing the filter into the fan was an easy permanent fix.
I showed a pic of phresh. Use the screws aeroknow said and use metal tape. But how does the tape hold it together if one lip sits inside the other? I can understand the tape if each lip butts up together but my hurricane goes inside the phresh filter lip
I put some tape around the flange of the filter to make a gasket so when I seated the fan into the filter it made a nice seal. Drilled 4 pilot holes around the filter that went through the filter and through the fan. Just use a small metal drill bit. It will go through both. Screwed the filter to the fan and put some tape around that area. Zero leaks. It's the same as trying to secure with tape or a clamp, but just running some screws through also. Makes the filter & fan one solid piece. All mine are like that. Got tired of the fan and filter separating and falling on the plants.how did you seal the air leaks? after you screwed it?
dude you need to fix the way you have that mounted, zip ties only around the junction box is not smart.. one of these days the junction box is gonna rip off the fan, fans gonna fall, crush poor defenseless plants, and possibly start a fire at the same time.. probly not gonna happen today or tomorrow or even within 5 years, but its a risk non the less, be smart, hang your fan properly. It butts right up to the fan
