Seedling with no artificial light is ok?

Planning on outdoor but I just read to start seedling indoor with artificial light. Didn't realize I needed artificial light so I don't have any and seedlings are now 7 days old sitting on the windowsill. Will they be ok without the artificial light? Should I put them outside now to get more daylight than on the windowsill or what else should I do?
next year just start your seeds out doors in a bed then they will be tough when its time to trans plant or just start your seeds where you plan to grow them at all year and then thin them out as needed..ky

I got 3 more seeds left (2 x Afghan Regular and 1 Delicious candy auto-fem) and I think I might do that instead of waiting until next year. The problem is the weather isnt good now, we had a few days of warm weather (71F/22C) but right now its cold, rain, windy, 56F/13C. Do you think I should just put them straight out in this bad weather?

Thanks for the tip, very useful to know. I also just read somewhere that it's the first pee in the morning which is healthier and to not store it for too long because it builds up ammonia which can be harmful to the plants.
There are bacteria in soil that break down ammonia into nitrite, and then another bacteria that breaks the nitrite down into nitrate (useable nitrogen for your plants). Safest bet you be to add it to your compost pile so it all has time to break down into a usable form.

This is good advise. You only need to worry about starting indoors with artificial light if you're starting your seeds before its warm enough to plant them outdoors.

My BIL was just telling me how he did it back in the day when he was cash cropping. He would find a big stump hole {where a stump has rotted out}, or just dig a hole big enough for a tray of sprouts. He would cover the opening to the hole with rusty screen so bugs were not a problem. He planted the seeds into soil in 4" square cups, then would transplant them into his bed when they were big enough. He did everything at his patch, so he didn't have to carry plants through the woods.

Dude just do yourself a favor n forget MG products all together....plus the pee idea isn't great either IMHO. Get yourself a full nute kit (I use technafloras full kit comes with mixing chart n everything your plants need. Next buy a basic soil mix ( I use 50/40 peatmoss / perlite n 10% vermiculite) next find strains that grow good in your climate n such (lots of research).
Soak your beans in a cup of water somewhere dark n above 50def F. N let them soak for 12 hours. After 12 hours go back poke the seeds with your finger till they sink (if it sinks it's a good seed floaters are bad.). Let soak for another 12 n then plant seeds into your soil mix in 16oz solo cups with lots of drain holes poked in the bottoms. Bout 1/4 inch down. Wait 3-7 days (don't need light at this point). Wait for them too come threw n then on colder rainy days just leaves them on at a window. N on nice days right in the sun ( mine go in all day sub right out of the gate) after they have about 2 -3 weeks start feeding 1/4th strength nutes (go by the chart it comes with). For about a week n then go half strength n then full week after week Now, after they have a full set of 3finger leaves or 2 transplant too 2 gal pots in the same soil mix. Now don't over stress over rain and kinda cold warther at this point they will hold up. And try and bury the stem up too your first set of 1 finger leaves too sturdy them from hard wind n heavey rain. Plus it will grow roots out of what got buried. Then after they get about a foot or foot n a half tall transplant into ground or bigger pots n follow the feeding chart as usual. And your done! At the end of the year u should have something that looks like thisimage.jpg

Thanks a lot for the info bro, that's a very useful read which I'll no doubt go back and use a reference. I'm trying to do it on a budget and I got only 6 seeds already, 3 already planted now and they're seedlings + the MG from last year growing chilli + tomato feed. And the pee would be the ultimate money saver too. But you think that stuff will damage the plants or are you saying the nute kit will just produce a better crop? I just check Amazon that Technafloras kit is kinda expensive! The soil I'm using at the moment is Canna Terra Pro Soil Mix, leftover from last year chilli.. That photo of yours looks real nice too, if I can grow something like that I'll be one happy dude

I'm right there with the money saving. Growing weed is a hobby for me. I never want to sell a gram of my smoke. And you know going into a hobby, it is going to cost money. I just try for it to cost as little as possible.

Pee and blood meal are very much alike in some ways. Not alike in others. Pee is 11-2-1 and free. Blood meal is 12-1-1 and is not free. You do the math. {also Google using pee as fertilizer. Good info to be found there}

The big complaint against MG products is the salts it leaves behind in the soil. And it does do that over time. But if you don't over use it, and add plenty of the good stuff, like mushroom compost, you can still get the most out of your soil and get the instant green of MG. I have three cases of the liquid MG food that I found so cheap I was forced to buy it. Both veg and bloom. I use a one second squirt in a gallon of water for my young plants {1 week-1 month}. For older plants I use a 15-20 second squirt, along with a cup of pee per 5 gallons of water.

For some of my cheap ass soil mixes, {as well as lots of off the wall shit} check out my threads. https://www.rollitup.org/t/bushcrafting-the-weed-addition-bugout-patch.898431/

I have more soil notes that I need to post soon anyway.

Thanks man I was basicly tryin too get you a basicly outline of what too do. I would never use human anything too feed my plants ever. The technaflora kit is 45 bucks n free shipping on amazon n that will last you the whole year of growing (45 bucks for possibly double or
more what pee would do = a lot better end result.) you get what you put into it. The soil mix I use I went n got 3 bags of perlite for $4.77 ea. bail of peatmoss 3 cubic ft - 10 bucks. And 1 bag of vermiculite -$4.54. All can be gotten at lowes or homedepot. All together I spent about 35 bucks on soil n filled 3x 3 gal pots. 6x 2 gal pots n 11x 2.5 gal pots. So less than 100 buck at the end of the year i average 6oz per plant in 5 gal pots. N have hit 9oz last year on one in 5 gal.
That coupled with proper training. (Topping, LST) u can do the same if not better that I can man.
Growing is simple and most people that write up guides n what not add more crap than needs too take place. It's called weed for a reason lol as long as you give it the basics (good soil, nutes, sunlight, water). I wouldn't use any already used soil incase of bad fungi, bugs n such.
Take my advice if you wana be a lot happier about what you get at the end of it. A lot of hard work too lose an extra 4zips a piece for the 100 you coulda spent too add that too your yield IMHO
