Preparing mum for clones

Hello fellas, I have been reading a lot of posts here and decided to give it a shot with my own grow. I built a closet 4' width by 2' depth with height of 3'

The goal is to be able to grow 9-15 clones aero style under a T5 fixture and on the other side have 2-3 moms to provide clones.

I started from fem seeds and now have one mom who probably needs pinch / top pr something to keep her small and bushy. She is in a 1quart containers 8" pot. Is this fine ?

here are pictures of her, please give me suggestions.

Thanks a bunch!

Hello all!

Just wanted to show you the same mom 2 weeks later and also I have some questions.

She looks not too good uh ? Its weird cuz I just switched from using Miragle Grow with GH Flora Nova 600PPM solution...

She is under a T5 fixture with plenty of air movement.

Any idea ??

Here are my white widows ready to get into bigger pots:

And for the curious, here is my clone/Veg growbox:

Thanks for the help fellas!

looking good but you might have rootbound for your mom plant , and if you can try adding some more lights but she's deff ready for clones getting taken off of her

The mom pot is 1 gallon, 8 inches wide... I thought it would be big enough for moms. If I take clones off her I would still need a bigger pot ?

I've seen 1 to 2 feet plants in a 4 inch pot , and even if you do take clones off the mom it will stunt her root growth till she's recovered I've read some people that cut the roots back to help heep the plant in a certin pot size range
