Hey everyone, just a few observations and a little input. I have been popping into the forums very briefly lately because of dealing with my wife's serious health issues and everything that goes with it. I'm sorry to see that FC has some serious issues going on also. This round seems very different, a lot of the regular players didn't participate and a good amount drifted off. It started well, sanctioned sponsors and everything but with FC going thru some extreme difficultys it changed things.
You guys just have to finish the voting on your own and wait for him to come back for the finish. If you finished go ahead and vote, no need to wait. Look back on the comp thread if you have to then make your top three and blue ribbon ( fourth ). Voting choices. We've seen FC's management skills in his first stint as host so it's easy to see his difficulties are extreme right now. Try and make things easier for him and get in here and vote, I mean you took the time to register and grow a plant in a cup and took it to the finish almost?!!!
One more thing, for whoever wins this, get rid of the 5 gallon res for the hydro growers, this was the number one complaint I got in pm's. Glancing back at this round and what happened last round, it's obvious the playing field isn't level. It's your choice but a lot of people don't like it and are drawing away because of it. It's viewed as a form of cheating and I think it's hurting this comp. Res's have been done with just the cup.
Just my 2 cents, I hope all you finishers come back in here to finish things up, again some really nice entry's this round, good luck everyone.

That seems to be the best way to me. That way the host just tally's all votes for each contestant and the one with the most votes get's first and then down the line by total votes.

That makes it very hard for us voting, It doesn't allow us to give two competitors that we feel where equal participants a vote that is equally weighted. In that way the vote tallies of all voters would determine the outcome and not give each voter such a heavy influence on where someone is finishing.

Little reminder : I chose a Humboldt seed organization Green Crack feminized seed for my contestant, my others genetics turned out to be shitty or a dude. I used some old as f*ck Advanced Nutrient nutes, i’m not sure that it was a great idea for beginning.
As usual, i screwed up the very first weeks of grow, under watering, over watering, too much nutes, not enough nutes…
The rest of the grow did goes smoothly, i lost a bit too much fan leaves way too early but nothing dramatic.
The plant was clearly leaning toward the indica side of the genetic, very dense flower on the main cola, solids secondary branches but not so much budsites. Mostly because i screwed up the stretch phase.
The smell was very floral while growing and she gets a strong cat piss smell after a few days in the jar. Never have this terpenes profile before this run with this strain from HSO. I received a lot of complaints from my non smokers friends. They didn’t like it at all. If you have allready own a male cat at some point in your life, you know what i mean.
Personnaly i really enjoyed the smoke, it was brief but it was good, 8gr of dankness.
Kudos to all the contestants, it's too bad that there was so much drop in the process but that's the game. Many thanks to @FrozenChozen for managing this round, it was difficult for him but he makes it happen anyway.

Would like to take time to thank all competitors for their shit talking and the sponsor's should've at least chimed in once, but my votes are based on growth I don't care how you worded your post or how you held your tongue during watering but on quality of growth. I will have my votes in after work today and great job to all finishers. Gonna be hard.

I don't think hyroot is going to finish since he hasn't posted in several days. I know FC has had his plate full so I don't think it's his fault that this installment of our comp has kinda fell to the wayside. I'd like to see the next host/hostess mix things up a little. I miss several of the guys that competed in the last cup and hope they come back for round 9. That being said, good job again to all that finished.
@mc130p you would have had my first place vote my first place vote my friend. Nothing beats skill and miricle grow.

I hate trying to pick orders for the winners rather than it just being on sheer vote total, everyone that finished did a stellar job and were great competitors.

5 grams should also be considerdThis run went fairly smith for me and my contestant. Got a lot of unexpected purple ended up smelling a lot like la con.
The reason my plant deserves votes:
1. Healthiest(or top 2 of all plants in comp)
2. Actually made it all the way to finish without chopping early.
3. Quality over quantity, the shit is fire.
4. It's my own cross/genetics, and I feel like creating a strain then running it should get bonus points.
Dry weight 5.2 grams + 22 seeds(made babies as well)
Will cast my votes as soon as everyone is finished. Good luck all.
