My lights in a 4x4. You don't NEED 12 but it wouldn't hurt I guess.

Hi I will be upgrading to a 4 x 4 from a 2x4, I already have a p600 that I've been using for the last 2 weeks. I was going to get another one but all I see are other growers building their own on this forum and stepping on these other companies. Overpriced? It's doing pretty good so far. It's footprint is really only 1.5'x4' but anything under it is doing well, no stretch. But if there's something better for the money, I am not biased at all and open to all suggestions. My budget is $700 and heat is a big factor. Thanks

Need advice on what light to pick for a 10x10 flower room. Moderately cheap as i'm new to leds nd the whole shebang. Preferably $1000 i'll rethink leds if it surpasses $1800. Thank you to all who may respond.

Looking to build a CXB3590 setup. Will 2 of these be an upgrade over my Mars300? Will use for 1-2 plants.
  1. Will 2 COB's be enough?
  2. Should I opt for 3500k? Or should I have 2 different spectrums?
  3. Most efficient driver for these?
  4. Are lenses needed?

Damn thats expensive for a 10x10... Would it be worth it for the money? I was thinking about converting for electrical costs and possible expansion.
I don't run led but look at it this way. So you get 4 1000 watt DE = 2000.00, Now your going to need an a/c so lets say you need a 2 ton (24k btu) = 2000.00 most likely installed cuz those fuckers are good and fast. Now we can calculate the electric bill on your 4 lamp hps room = roughly 400.00 - 600.00 per month. So on the low end on lamps and power your right around 5 grand. I just read the owner of PLC.com say for a 4x4 foot print with cob leds its a good idea to run 600 watts worth of cob led. Thats where the savings starts to happen. Again i don't do led i run hps, but i read all the threads just in case these crazy fucks are right and hps is going to be out lawed. Its a good idea to stay with the flow even if just on an education purpose.

Thanks for the response but I'm familiar with 1000w hps/mh rooms just had no idea quality leds was even a thing before today. Your electric company is charging you out the ass lol 4 lights costs me close to $300. Hold it down

Thanks guys. I was deciding between the platinum led P300, the california light works 220w, or MARS hydro II... Any opinion on those, or any suggesting to a better alternative? Im only looking for 3-4 plants maximum (for personal use only, I'm looking for the highest quality buds for my budget not to make profit) and I'm looking to drop no more than $500 on some LED lights (not looking at HID or solely CFL or T5) Also I'm considering supplementing with T5 or CFL fixtures (prob for flower, maybe both depending on my cashflow) looking for any and all experienced opinions please. I know I've posted in the wrong spot but if anybody feels like helping the kid out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Peace.
Good luck! My grow area is big enough for 6 grown plants. I'm using a King Plus 800 watt plus 4 led grow light bulbs for any spots missed. I get great growth, but will add another 800 watt King Plus. That should provide excellent growth. These lights are really reasonable too.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a T4 2100 and running it along side my p600 in a 4x4. What's the difference between the reflector and lens? Will be adding another if it does well.

That is one bad ass light. I recommend it. Never used one but it has shows to be very effective multiple times on this sub forum. Just hella intense!

Reflectors will give you more of a downward footprint you can see and the lenses throw the light around a bit more to mix them. I was using lenses for a long time on my diy but switched to reflectors mid flower.
