Nevergood's high power garden

Day 26- It is cooking out. I am still drawing in 81*f air to cool my room and the canopy temps are 82* and the room temp. is almost 87*. It is getting crowded in there. Nothing else to report, just watching them grow.
I have notice the UV COB is now on the website, but coming soon. On Monday I will visit @Alex Lau and see if one is available to test yet. I could add it to one of the middle 3 for comparison.IMG_20160603_224045480_HDR.jpg IMG_20160603_224101309.jpg IMG_20160603_224210405.jpg IMG_20160603_224216621.jpg IMG_20160603_224015342.jpg

@ttystikk and just for you I will be doing a couple vertical screens. These OGs have another month before they will start to flower. I finally got some 5000K 80cri COBs to see how much better they can veg. I have 2 COBs on an HBG240. When these are ready to go into the flower room, I will run the 3200K 95+cri over the top for 2 weeks to get them as tall as I can, before I move the lights to shine in at a 45* angle. I am to lazy to look thru your thread ttystikk, but how many watts are you using per panel? I think these are Boss OGs, not positive.

Nice plan! I look forward to seeing your progress.

I'm running 4 modules per 6' tall x 4' wide trellis panel. Each module consists of 4 Cree CXB3590 3500K CD BIN 72V chips, driven in series by a Meanwell HLG 185H C700B, dimmer wires capped for the additional 8%. Thus my chips get 54W each. 80 degree glass lenses over the chips. This totals 900W per trellis panel.

Pics on my thread.

Day 38?- Like always I overdid it on feeding. I spent this evening flushing out the 5 gallon pots until my meter stopped blinking 2000+ ppm on the runoff.:wall: I will now run my ppm's under 800. I still have over 3 weeks to go and they are sticky and sweet smelling. One noticeable thing with the 95+CRI, the buds seem to be heavier. It could be the extra stretch can't hold the weigh? I have finally gotten the blackhole watering rings hooked up, watering is as simple as plugging in a pump.
Since I am usually watering 2 time a day, would it be better to separate feedings and enzimes, microbes, etc. 2 tanks, water with one then the other. @ttystikk The OG for the next run are already 27" tall with more than 3 weeks to go. I am hoping to use as much of my 9' ceiling as I can. You are at 37.5 watts per square foot, I think I will be at or below 30 watts. I will have a better idea after they are in there.

I'm running 900W/24sq ft = 37.5W/sq ft, yep, and it's damn near too much!

@OneHitDone -Yes these higher power COB are working excellent. I do have a control grow with Vero 29's @ 25 and 50 watts, but I think it is just a little bit behind. I am also running the Luna's @ around 125 watts each and can still get the light as close as 12". I am not sure if the next run I will keep them running super soft (600w COB running @125w) or go back to running them around 250w.

What type of light shock problems?
Like too damn much right at the beginning of the bloom cycle. That or it's not enough light in prebloom veg. Plants stall, turn colors, drop fan leaves. Then they recover and produce, but it's never what it should be.

Are you changing light sources from veg to bloom?

it shouldnt matter,i run about 25w per sq ft in veg(t5) and stick em right under gavitas in bloom @ about 65w per sq ft and the plants love it.but i dont change a bunch of other shit when i flip my plants, they get the same feed and amount of water for the first week.theres something else goin on there @ttystikk .maybe your cooking them because the cobs are too close to the plants?or a big change in feeds

They go from only 200W of 315W CMH lights per trellis in veg to 900W of COB LED per trellis panel. I'm thinking it's a pretty drastic change for them, one I should perhaps try to soften.

Nutes remain the same, EC climbs but not drastically. Environmental changes are mild, the COB LED rack is actually cooler than veg.

Adding more 315's in prebloom veg should help, as would leaving some of the modules off or setting up the dimming circuits and running the units at low power for a few days.

I can't think of what else it might be.

When I tried going from Hortilux Blue 600W MH to a 250W Led panel I got this
