Anyone know anything about postpartum depression?

She needs to see a doctor. You don't need to see a specialist to get the ball rolling. Make an her an appt to see her family physician and go with her. Talk to her about it beforehand.
At the doctors they will talk to her
pPd is extremely "normal" like almost every woman has some form of it
There's also post partum anxiety and post partum ocd and post partum insomnia
I'm surprised her doctor didn't notice before has she gone to her 6 week check up ?
Before you leave the hospital they have me a pamphlet saying to go in if I experience any of the symptoms on it
During my last trimester we spoke about it with the doctor at every visit because she wanted to make sure I knew about it and could feel safe going to them
All they are gunna do is evaluate her is she's breast feeding they will start her on Zoloft and they will send her to a therapist to have bi weekly sessions

Psych meds suck. Couldn't even imagine what it would do to an infant. Probably not a good idea
Zoloft is considered safe for breast feeding
Psych meds don't suck if they are used and prescribed properly and given to people who legimately need them
But I know this forum is so anti drug they would say not to give someone dying in extreme pain pills because they think pharma is so bad

I just don't like psych meds really the side effects can be horrid and are often worse then the original illness effects. I'm working on getting off mine at the moment its hard
Psych meds, any meds are usually better than dead.
Zoloft is extremely "soft"
They give it to pregnant and breast feeding women
There are side effects with almost every drug but with Zoloft it's pretty little
The biggest one is that anxiety MAY get worse before better about a week
You're probably on something much different than sertaline
Sertaline is like baby aspirin in the world of psych meds

Yeah seroquil and Latuda. Latudas not that bad but seroquil is the worst.
If she's angry it could also result in SSD if she doesn't get help
And no one wants that
Ya totally different ball game than Zoloft
Weird combo they got you on and a new drug too , interesting I won't comment further good luck with your mental health wish you the best

No doubt.
My wife went thru a spell. I told her that was enough. We went to the Dr and they talked. She got some counseling. I did more of work around the house. I let her rest.

I still don't know were she is man. Sux. It's really fucked she's native American and wants to go back to the "Rez" I mean the place just isn't the safest. her parents have always Ben dysfunction and she thinks that's ok, my buddy said he thinks he know were she's at he described it as a shack.like wtf we have a 3 bedroom 1600sq house in a gated community,ya were one month behind in payments, shit is a little stressful but why go back to that? Also just learned she is renting a house for $500,"the shack" from her uncle. I want to go see my kids but she keeps saying just give her space. Her dad said she's not talking about leaving me, I told him I just want her to be happy and don't know were this came from.
