Day 19 of Flowering - Plant is too bushy for scrog??

First time grow so my canopy isn't too even but I think I did alright. The plant into the middle is a Heavyweight Fruit Punch (feminized) and it's supposed to be sativa dominant but it's so stocky and bushy! Should I be pruning some of the fan leaves of the colas? They are growing so tightly together and the stems are so stiff. I've done some research and some people say yes, others say no.

A good portion of the bud sites are underneath the scrog as well - and some of them are actually growing into the scrog screen and being smushed. :( I tried tying done one of the branches but it's not doing much. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks guys.

For times like this you should of lollipopped (removing everything under the screen) IMHO as you have created a think dense canopy the light won't be able to reach under the screen..only thing I would suggest is thin the herd remove and scraggly shitty bits and concentrate the plants energy on the good buds,

I tried lollipopping, but didn't want to remove too much. It was a complete bush before. Here's another picture of the underneath. What do you mean by the scraggly bits, the bud sites beneath the screen? That would be a lot!

Edit: That marker is just there to hold down a branch - nothing special, haha.

Everything under the net should of been gone. Light will not make it down there enough unless you add side lighting and you are now defeating the concept of Scrog, you have bud holders at this point. IMO Not trying to be an azz btw sorry.

Live and learn. You did good for a first grow but is it the grow light making the tops look pale?
Thanks man! I could've scrogged better in hindsight. You're right actually, the middle plant leaves seem to be getting lighter green colored recently, going towards a lime green but not quite there yet. Could it be a magnesium deficiency?

no probably a nitrogen problem lots of flowering plants get it

Doesn't look like mg but not sure, would need to see 360 degree of plant top and bottom. what have you been feeding?
