$1,000 budget first indoor need advise please.

Before recommendations are made what are you trying to achieve? How many plants? Area you have to grow?

I spent 1k on my room got a 400mh, 600hps(used ballasts, new hortilux bulbs), nutes(jacks classics ),got free buckets from lowes gardening section or 5 gallon buckets, odds n ends(timers, pH moisture meter, etc)

Two x two x two mtr twnt in a full bedroom, 2 x 1000watt hps with digital ballasts 16 pots/sites running rdwc, with 2 tower fans opposite corners of one another, with 2 x carbon filters connected to one big ass extraction fan and two small 4" inlet fans blowing straight up under your canopy! And change to spare!!!!

With change you could possibly afford nutes (brand dependant), co2 generators (dry ice in hot water baths), and auto seeds placed strategically around edges of tent!

First off thank you all for responses.
Most likely it would be a tent set up.. Something like a 4x4 or 3x3 for starters ? I would like a de since there is no rf interference but not sure if i have enough height. I suppose i could go led but i would really prefer an hps or mh/hps.
Ive done outdoor and was thinking of dwc or? I have never done hydro but would like to try if its feesable. Is it hard to do hydro ? Maybe start with soil since i already have the soil, pots, organic nutes, . Maybe get a run or 2 in then then try the hydro.

Well if you want to go hydro you have to pick a style and stick with it till the end but I'm sure you know that already. For a 4x4 I'd look at getting anything under 600 watts. You will have to decide what nutes you want to run, and something for the root zone unless of course you gave a chiller or know how to make one yourself. If you go organics run hydroguard hygrozyme if not then pool shock, h2o2. A 600 watt with ballast, tent, nutes and maybe even a t5 could run you around the 1k ballpark maybe a little less

check out a 315 watt LEC light. it would be perfect for a 3x3

if you go DWC totes, expect to get about 3 times as much bud as in soil pots. its easy, if you ever want to try it, Let me know if you need help. If you know what your doing ahead of time you can avoid costly mistakes that can kill your plants.

I agree 315 or 630w CMH for the lights. Ea 315 ballast only uses 1.4a @ 240v. I'm testing a 630 in my 5x5. Results so far are as good or a bit better then my 3.6kw main room.
