Supporters of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump are more likely to view African-Americans negatively, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll.

According to the poll, those who back Trump are more likely to describe African-Americans as "criminal," "unintelligent," "lazy" and "violent" compared to voters who supported other Republican candidates in the primary or voters who back presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Significant numbers of Americans also view blacks more negatively than whites, according to the poll, but Trump supporters were the most critical.
Nearly half of those supporting Trump said African-Americans were more "violent" and "criminal" than whites. About 40 percent described African-Americans as more "lazy" than whites.

Among Clinton supporters, about one-third view blacks as more "violent" and "criminal" than whites. About one-quarter said blacks were more "lazy" than whites.

Slightly more than one-third of Trump supporters said they would prefer to live in a community with people from "diverse cultures." About 70 percent of Clinton supporters said the same.

Among Trump supporters, 31 percent also said they "strongly agree" that "social policies, such as affirmative action, discriminate unfairly against white people." Only 16 percent of Clinton supporters said the same.

About one-third of Trump supporters viewed whites as more "intelligent" than blacks, and about 40 percent viewed whites as more "hardworking."

Only 22 percent of Clinton supporters rated whites as more "intelligent" than black people and 25 percent said whites were more "hardworking" than blacks.

Still, not more than 50 percent of Trump supporters rated blacks negatively compared to whites, though Trump supporters were more critical of African-Americans than were supporters of other candidates.

The poll was conducted during two periods between March and June among 16,000 Americans.

Well, duh --- The guy's a friggin racist, as his FATHER was a racist, criminal, and despised slumlord!!

"‘Old Man Trump’s’ color line
Only a year into his Beach Haven residency, Guthrie – himself a veteran – was already lamenting the bigotry that pervaded his new, lily-white neighborhood, which he’d taken to calling “Bitch Havens.”

In his notebooks, he conjured up a scenario of smashing the color line to transform the Trump complex into a diverse cornucopia, with “a face of every bright color laffing and joshing in these old darkly weeperish empty shadowed windows.” He imagined himself calling out in Whitman-esque free verse to the “negro girl yonder that walks along against this headwind / holding onto her purse and her fur coat”:

I welcome you here to live. I welcome
you and your man both here to Beach Haven to love in any
ways you please and to have some kind of a decent place to
get pregnant in and to have your kids raised up in. I'm
yelling out my own welcome to you.

For Guthrie, Fred Trump came to personify all the viciousness of the racist codes that continued to put decent housing – both public and private – out of reach for so many of his fellow citizens:

I suppose
Old Man Trump knows
Just how much
Racial Hate
he stirred up
In the bloodpot of human hearts
When he drawed
That color line
Here at his
Eighteen hundred family project ....

And as if to leave no doubt over Trump’s personal culpability in perpetuating black Americans’ status as internal refugees – strangers in their own strange land – Guthrie reworked his signature Dust Bowl ballad “I Ain’t Got No Home” into a blistering broadside against his landlord:

Beach Haven ain't my home!
I just cain't pay this rent!
My money's down the drain!
And my soul is badly bent!
Beach Haven looks like heaven
Where no black ones come to roam!
No, no, no! Old Man Trump!
Old Beach Haven ain't my home!

In 1979, 12 years after Guthrie had succumbed to the death sentence of Huntington’s Disease, Village Voice reporter Wayne Barrett published a two-part exposé about Fred and Donald Trump’s real estate empire.

Barrett devoted substantial attention to the cases brought against the Trumps in 1973 and 1978 by the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Justice Department. A major charge was that “racially discriminatory conduct by Trump agents” had “created a substantial impediment to the full enjoyment of equal opportunity.” The most damning evidence had come from Trump’s own employees. As Barrett summarizes:

According to court records, four superintendents or rental agents confirmed that applications sent to the central [Trump] office for acceptance or rejection were coded by race. Three doormen were told to discourage blacks who came seeking apartments when the manager was out, either by claiming no vacancies or hiking up the rents. A super said he was instructed to send black applicants to the central office but to accept white applications on site. Another rental agent said that Fred Trump had instructed him not to rent to blacks. Further, the agent said Trump wanted “to decrease the number of black tenants” already in the development “by encouraging them to locate housing elsewhere.”

Guthrie had written that white supremacists like the Trumps were “way ahead of God” because

God dont
know much
about any color lines.

Guthrie hardly meant this as a compliment. But the Trumps – father and son alike – might well have been arrogant enough to see it as one. After all, if you find yourself “way ahead of God” in any kind of a race, then what else must God be except, well, “a loser”? And we know what Donald Trump thinks about losers.

One thing is certain: Woody Guthrie had no time for “Old Man Trump.”

We can only imagine what he would think of his heir."

I'd say anyone who votes for the 2 party system don't give a flying fuck about black people IMHO.
Well, you'd be wrong. If one group is much more anti-black than the other group (Which is definitely the case), and you decide not to vote for either thereby allowing the more virulently anti-black group to take power, that is not giving a flying fuck about black people. Recognizing that there is no third choice, and selecting the vastly less reprehensible one, is doing what you can within the confines of reality. Saying "Neither is perfect, so there is no reason to even attempt to prevent the worst of the worst" is shitty logic when one is clearly and demonstrably worse than the other.

Please, democrats just buy votes with welfare while actively choosing policy that can clearly and easily be demonstrated to be failure. The war on poverty was declared in the 70's. Poverty and the gap between rich and poor has skyrocketed in the time frame. A large % of the welfare state was setup in the same period. The number of poor continue to skyrocket. There are literally no arguments to support socialism that exist without being completely vacuous or completely ignoring context.

Hell, look at Chile compared to Venezuela. Turn of the 20th century those countries and America were pretty much equivalents as far as GDP per capita was concerned. Fast forward: Venezuela continually dabbled with socialist experiments, Chile as well. They fell behind America by the 70's. Enter Pinochet (who yes, was a bastard) who adopts many free market principles (He consulted with Friedman et al) and Chile sees 320% GDP growth and is the 3rd richest nation in the Americas behind Canada and America. Venezuela adopts various socialist platforms over the same period and sees a staggering 23% GDP growth in the same time frame and now it's citizens are starving on the streets. This in spite of having immense oil reserves and vast natural resources.

Ra ra socialism.

Well that's fine because I'm not really a socialist, and neither are most Democrats. Some aspects of socialism are good, but I would prefer something like Nordic capitalism to anything resembling true socialism. IMO Norway probably has the best government in the world, and they have the highest Human Development Index, though Denmark certainly gives them a run for their money by being the least corrupt (Both countries also routinely jockey for the number 1 happiest country).

Both countries are also very homogenous and have adopted highly free market policy on the business end of things. They also benefited a lot when oil prices were high. All evidence points towards, the more freedom the more progress is made for everyone in society. So I go that direction. These days I don't really believe much in government at all.

They also have EXTENSIVE welfare support and some of the world's highest income tax rates. We could learn a lot from them.

This is factually inaccurate. Since the war on poverty was declared, the poverty rate has dramatically DECREASED, from 26% in 1967 to 16% in 2012 (https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/study-us-poverty-rate-decreased-over-past-half-century-thanks-to-safety-net-programs/2013/12/09/9322c834-60f3-11e3-94ad-004fefa61ee6_story.html) and 15% in 2014. As a matter of fact, looking at the US, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Finland, the UK, Belgium, Austria, Italy, and Ireland, the average poverty reduction after instituting welfare is about 60%.
