Whites and blacks in US 'disagree on racism'

You are absolutely correct, in theory. Reality speaks to a different truth though. Black people are required to go above and beyond to appease white people. We are required to act a certain way in order to make you feel comfortable.
The only certain way I require you, or anyone, to act is to treat me with the same respect with which you wish to be treated. No more, no less.

If only we could all live up to this sentiment, instead of seeing skin color or Jewish first then making a decision to help or not?. I hope none of these guys ever need a good samaritan.

I consider it a pity that you're unable to feel empathy towards humanity, People may have harmed you please don't let this darken your mind forever.
Maybe I'm just a product of my environment. On the other hand though, I mention the fact that the police killed an unarmed black person every 9 days last year and no one in here seems to care, but I digress.

Remember, YOU came into one of MY conversations, not the other way around, and you are welcome to fuck right off back out of it. All you gotta do is stop talking to me. But I will continue to respond if you continue to engage.
Ok, dipwad. So, here it is. I've been reading the shit you put forth with Beakat and it's clear you've got some sort of strange earwig up your ass that makes you think you have something important to say. You don't really. You have some sort of idea that everybody has done wrong and we can't dissect certain issues pertaining to the US without beginning with Neandertals, moving on to unnamed genocides that took place 4000 years ago, then talk about Tamarlane and by the time we get to slavery in the US everybody is just numb.

What goddam didactic bore you are. Also pretty much useless. I brought up racism in the US in a post were you denied that there is anything unusual about it. I pretty much destroyed that idea. Don't like it? Too fucking bad. It's an important issue in the US and fucking Tamarlane has nothing to do with it.

Meanwhile you constantly minimize the actual, real world slavery happening all over the globe because it doesn't help prove your point that white people are just the worst of the worst and that you have it worse than the Dalits. Live in whatever world you want to.

No its not all our fault. It's the fault of those who perpetrate it. Or accept it as "human nature".
When you see a problem you fix it if you can, you don't sit around on your ass waiting for who is "responsible" we are all responsible, welcome to the adult world.

You are the one who has constantly had a problem with reading comprehension and needs everything laid out for them before they (kinda, but still not really) understand what the fuck people are talking about.

Or, a lot of people will feign concern about said global atrocities so that they can say "See, America isn't that bad.".

Nope, I said this before but you were too slow on the draw. Cultures based on slavery are quite rare in history. Before the Americas were colonized there had been only two cultures that were based on slavery, ancient Greece and Rome. In these cultures and in the US south before 1860, more than 20% of the population were slaves. Even compared to ancient Greece and Rome, the US slave society of the South was unique in that it was statutory race based slavery where a slave and their family can never be free. This was unusually oppressive in history. The roots of racism in the US are found in the slave culture of the south. Racism in the US is still very much present and employed in institutions today. It's an issue that won't go away simply by ignoring it.

Hey, I care about the environment too. Especially in the Willamette river which passes nearby. Can I focus on issues that lead to pollution there or must I take the global picture and worry about the Nile too?

You bring up the Dalit. Do I care or do I deny they are oppressed? Yes I care and yes they are oppressed. I don't live in India. I live in the US and it's kind of a non issue to me. What is India doing about their problem?

Do I care that the Holocaust happened? Absolutely and I hope that it never happens again but I'm not worried about this happening in the US. So it's kind of a non-issue to me right now.

What happens when a person focuses on everything? Answer: they focus on nothing. And pick up an earwig up their ass.

Yes, because black people are still feeling the effects of that slavery. It affects me directly.
yup, it's called living in the most advanced and best nation that has ever existed. on behalf of whites in the US, you are welcome. if you feel you didn't get what you deserved, maybe thinking you deserved anything besides what you earn is part of the problem.
