I need help my mh bulb went out on my 400 watt set up and I had to put a big cfl and some fluorescents on my plants to keep them alive now some of them look like the pics I posted. Is this due to the light or over under watering? Also do you think my plants will make it till Tuesday when my new bulb comes in?

over watered (thick veins in leaves) over nuted(yellowing leaves)

pot up now to a 3 usg pot

water by weight, lift pot first

ensure you have some 20% perlite in the mix

to reduce any further nute burn

no nutes for 2-3 weeks

give them as much even light as you dare

50/50 warm and cool cfl light is good 1" of leaf tip

always carry a spare ...order one more bulb

good luck

I would also add ... Heat .... You are showing a little TACOING - CANOEING to the leaves.

Probably ditch the foil ... It RADIATES heat ... Some cheap mylar ( space blanket ) or car windshield protectors ( 99 ¢ store ) if you are tight on cash.

Or Home Depot ... This works pretty good ... I built some reflector wing panels with white board and some SUPER 77 adhesive.

You asked if it is under watering and sometimes that can look like over watering so to revisit watering. When using a nutrient solution you water until you have approximately 20% run off but you do not let that water cover the drainage holes and sit in a pan, it's called run off for a reason. Even when using water inbetween nutrient solution you still use the 20% run off rule. That is the rule the truth is when using nutrient solutions with soil I water until it drips I am not measuring run off. Then you allow the planter to dry until it is very light, almost just the dirt and the plant. Make certain to always adjust pH the same no matter what type of water it is. I think the box with the lights so close might be a lot of heat if it were me I'd not only move the lights back because the plants are in trouble I'd also remove the box.

The box is to hold the light up I'm having to do a somewhat secret grow I can't have lights hanging from the ceiling or anything like that. I just ordered a grow tent 3x3x6 until it gets here the box is all I know what to do. I think I'll remove the foil and just wait till my tent gets here. Appreciate all the help besides you stoned farmer. Your reply was useless
