Well, this is going to be the last update before I chop these ladies down. It's been quite a run. We hit 8 weeks yesterday and plan on taking them to next Sunday and cutting em.
They've all had so many different characteristics and personalities this run. The Currant Kush is my prized bitch. She's gorgeous. I had to yoyo some of her lower branches cause the buds are jist toooo heavy! The white berrys leaves are doing some shit I ain't Neva seen befoe! And as for the lemons, (the big ones) well they're just... huge. I clipped all the foxtails off and luckily the back building process actually worked, somewhat.
Also wanted to show what I did with my gogreen. I also added a newly purchased 4" inline for intake and it's brought my temps down dramatically. Purple showed up in all of the plants 3 fold after installing it.20160623_195027.jpg 20160623_194914.jpg 20160623_194929.jpg 20160623_195001.jpg 20160623_195232.jpg 20160623_195215.jpg 20160623_195157.jpg 20160623_195054.jpg 20160623_195103.jpg 20160623_195121.jpg

very nice man great job:clap:...i came across ur thread cuz im getting some rust color too..but im running about 20 different strains so its kinda good doing tht ryt now cuz some are just rolling hard an loving life,,mostly all,but a few phenos maybe 4 are a tad rusty and just off a tad..but im also really picky so just seeing what others growing under the CXBs are going thru...i had the bleaching too when i first transplanted but i can say the clones i took from the plants tht were under the CXBs are just awesome so im thinking tht they just needed adjusting to so much greatness in light:p

Well I've been harvesting these last few days a few hrs at a time. I ended up with a Lot More LARF than I thought. I know better next time to really get rid of ANYTHING under the screen. Now i have a huge bin of it I don't even know what to do with it all.

Pictures soon.

Great thread. I am envious of your talent in building that beautiful COB rig and your growing skills. May I ask what is the store bought LED light fixture you are using with the COB? Nice work.

Hey thanks! But the credit goes to the RDWC system. They just kick ass. The fixture is a GoGreenLED and uses 4 CXB3070's each on their own 50W driver. (1.33amps)

I've just been cutting it down and tossing it in the bin. No trimming at all. So I don't know what I'll be even able to do with it. Can I make rosin with a lot of leaves still on the fluff?
Your not going to weigh the larf and give us a gpw # are you?

I'd sure try a small run without trimming, might save a lot of wasted effort. Try another with a quick trim, see if if there's any value added with a trim. The better the start material the better the outcome, but there might not be a great return on the time invested in trimming already lower quality larf etc.. just 2cents.

Thanks for the info. You are too modest. Great job. The COB DIY was really nice.

Did you build the RDWC system or is it off the shelf? I am using soil and really want to get away from soil. I have a room that I want to do more solar with clear panels along with regular rooms. RDWC seems like it would be the way to go if I can cool of this test solar room.

Do you every have problems with water or root rot things with RDWC?? I enjoyed the thread with the constant tweaks, challenges and people here helping out. Great thread. Thanks again.,

I built my system from scratch. And I use a chiller for my water so temps are dialed in. And no @a mongo frog no gpw on the larf ;)
But next run I'll be removing every fan leaf as it comes. I'm CONVINCED it's the way to go. Please advise:

Bubble bags and Ice water.. You can put it all in there and they don't cost much. You will get 3-4 grades of hash that will suit you for different times of the day. Its a simple method without using chemicals

Just looking at all your pic, you can see how dark it is below the canopy. I suppose that's one negative to using a net, plants are not moving from side to side in the breeze so less penetration. There's the option of removing the lower stuff early, what you lose there you will gain back on the top.

Ya I should look into that. I've just never done it before

Something along these lines would be good, they do 8 bag systems but not really needed.. I have to laugh, when these came out they were 10 times the price..

I only used mine twice, then I gave them to a mate who collects my sugar leaf and fluff along with a few other peoples. He does all the work and takes half the hash, worth it for me, I don't have to dispose of the rubbish then.

Orrrrr for your lard and sugar leaves. You can add some ever clear and let it soak a day or so then put it all in a crockpot on low and when the ever clear evaporates add some olive oil and use it as whatever. The crockpot heat will Activate it so if you drink a little you'll be roasted.

I'd just make coconut oil with cheese cloth the ol' fashioned way if I were to go into that realm.

Wow those really are incredibly cheap... what do you do though?

On a flavor scale, I'm still voting rosin the whole batch of larf. Maybe someone in your area has a large press and you can squish it in a few gos at it. Nothing tastes as good as live rosin imo. I'm a new convert and have made iso/bho for years.

easier for me to point you to this for a picture guide, although I would recommend stirring for longer than 20 mins, you can usually run the material more than once, its best done fresh, or at least not dried out. If its dry leaf ect it seems to get through the filter bags.

There are other options, just where I live its easier for me to do this than mess about with other methods, I have to say I have not tried other ways to produce hash or any oils. Maybe one day I will look into it.
