Well @UncleBuck sure seemed to have a problem with one of them, based on his apparent connections with racist white supremacist groups.

Not sure I agree with his stand there, but it is a point of view that's likely to be held by many.

I'm for unity, respect for everyone, and letting others be themselves and have their culture as long as that cultural practice does not limit the freedoms of others to do the same. Golden rule stuff. This just doesn't have to be so hard.

Yes...except we get further and further away with each passing decade. It's never been this polarized, a lot of what comes from the far right is offensive, the two major political parties don't socialize after hours anymore, there are teabaggers who would rather shut down government instead of attempting to compromise...

So today, many people's idea of 'unity' is 'I want everything I want and fuck what you want because you're ideas are wrong'...

If that doesn't change unity will go the way of the dinosaurs, if it hasn't already. And the 1% loves it the way it is...they have unity...which may be why we don't.
