Sorry I'm not understanding your post.
Let me elaborate: I feel like any anti-establishment attempts at boycotting marijuana after fighting so hard for its legitimacy simply because you don't appreciate its temporary current form--which will only change as it becomes more and more accepted to the point you can grow in your front yard--is the equivalent of demanding a condom and then deliberately stepping on your dick.

Trying to push it in the correct direction ...ignoring the LP's will not help that cause. Buying weed from the enemy isn't a good idea. Makes em think they're winning.

There is no winning, man. There's just trying to get it done. Money's theirs to begin with, and here in the US, our money's backed by faith and not gold anyway. Besuses, everyone is indebted to someone. Don't sweat finances, focus on the fact you won't have to worry about getting arrested for being a patient anymore. Given enough time, the rules will relax more. That's just the way it's supposed to progress.

I don't think you have a complete understanding of the situation up here. We (patients) haven't had to worry about getting arrested for 15 years. What our fight is about is being forced to buy our medicine from a government approved, over-priced growers rather than growing our own. As most patients are low income, focusing on finances is top of the list and that includes access to meds. The recreational side is a whole 'nother animal. Attitudes are relaxing and with that comes relaxed rules, but politicians up here are of the 'stupid' variety so we need to help them out, usually with the assistance of a judge.

I guess, but you're more liable to do harm than good boycotting it. Protest in a way that doesn't cause them to resent all the legal progress you guys have made as of late.

The government has played the med people against the rec people and the free market against the LPs. Divide and concur. Big money against the mom and pops. They call us all criminals and claim there is this giant organized crime syndicate running it all. We need to stand up and tell them we are tired of being second class just because they say we are. Don't give us our rights - we will take them.
The biggest fear of the Liberals is that all sides get together and show up on parliaments doorstep saying, "what the F$CK" No one said this was going to be pretty, take annie for instance.....I rest my case.

We sued and won already. It's now down to forcing the government to obey the court. No harm can come from us demanding our rights...we don't cave to politicians up here when our charter rights are the law and the supreme court has the final say.

If they don't let us grow ( and this is just between you and me...... we are going to keep growing anyways). Balls in their court - any bets as to what kinda mess they make of it ?
Personally I feel that due to me being as hard headed as a mule they are going to have a fight if they screw it up and about 2.5million of my closest friends are coming too. See Canadians are "real polite". Just once we get past being nice, well, I shouldn't give away too much..... stay tuned .

That still won't solve the access issue. I have 300g/month and get $814 in disability....unless it's .50/g...
What about people with huge scripts like juicers? I don't think they can actually dictate what a private company can charge (or they would be doing so for cancer drugs, etc), so they would need to subsidize each patient with tax dollars. I don't see a public appetite for that. I'm worried about them trying to ban our gardens again, but I'm not sure how they could do it...

No home grows and we demand the health minister step down. Hell, lets take a page from the 'black lives matter' movement and have us a little peaceful civil disobedience. Start blocking roads and bridges etc. until the media is paying attention. It may be the only way to get our story to the masses, let's face it, non-patients have no idea what we have gone through and most don't care...until it smacks them in the face on the 6 o'clock news. We need government doing damage control...

LOL, protesting is the opposite of worrying whether the people you're protesting against resent you. We wouldn't be at this point if people just crossed their fingers and hoped everything would work out.

If you are able to avoid buying LP weed, do so. No meaningful political or social change has ever come from walking on eggshells around the people trying to exploit you.
