hlg-185<--- is the watts
Well...with the CV/CC drivers it is ~watts, the ones that end in -42A, -36B etc. But the constant current versions, -1400B etc usually give you a little extra juice.hlg-185<--- is the watts
It was more for future readers. Like anybody is wading through 145 pages to get herejorge..sure
but the guy said 185 were the volts..do not confuse him more
That is not a safe current for the 72V CXA3590. Sorry. You need 1800ma or below.Hi everyone : )
Im new, so HELLO for each of You : )
What I looking for, and Im not specialist - is electronic segment : /
That why I looking for help.
I want to build my own C.O.B. panel ( CREE CXA3590-0000-000R00BB30F , HighPower LED , 3000K, 150 W, 9750 lm , 77 V 1800 mA )
And what I found , is this - Mean Well LPC-150-2100
- 2100 mA
- 36 V to 72 V
- 151.2 W
- 180 VAC to 305 VAC, 254 VDC to 431 VDC
My question is, CXA work on 72-77V , so shoudl be ok, BUT meanwell have 2.1A , CXA need's 1.8A
Did will be ok, when I assembly and run this stuff ? 2.1A on driver is ok ? Or I shoudl looking for something else ?
Take care crew
Waiting for respond
Best Regards
Michal
Like, how many cobs, and how big a space? That's really the important bit.Than what You can propose if I can ask ??
And why not those 2100mA ?
Yep the watts not the volts. My mistake.jorge..sure

At the moment one COB - on 0.25m2Three or four over .25 sq meter? Or one per .25 sq meter?
Either way, I guess the answer is you probably want 700-1050ma each, and a large passive heatsink to cool each one.
One cob at 700mA is going to use 50-51W, at 1050mA about 80W. Visit http://cree.pct.com to help you figure this stuff out. That's a big space to light with 4 CXA3590.At the moment one COB - on 0.25m2
Correct - one ACTIVE ( radiator + went ) coller.
So - what I shoudl do, to make it " light " those one , is buy a driver between 700 - 1050ma ? 72V , 150W - correct ?
Can You advice whith one , for example ?
Take care crew
Have a nice day
Hey - yes true, but look that this cob need 1.8a so meaby I wrong , I need some more pwr in amp device... So no more advice - example for a device ... ? Hi,I wrote from phone yesterday, so were quiet hart to encrypt my sh..t english
I decide to buy
Mean Well LPC 150 - 1400
Output Current-Channel 1: 1400 mA
Output Voltage-Chann
s - correct ??
If somebody can help me with this - I will be grateful.
Before I had only experience with HPS and MH lights - easy one.
Here , with COB , is hard to burn it, a lot of unknown specyfication.

Hey,Hi,
why this cob ? Cree CXA3590-0000-000R00BB30F
Do you bought them allready? or dou plan to buy them?
Why CXA? When I can get you CXB I have that kit with reflectors pm meHopefully this will be my last question. My list below.
5x CXA3590 $200
5x Ideal 50-2303CR $15
5x Ideal 50-2300AN $10
5x 180mm pin fin heatisnk $100
1x Meanwell HLG-240H-C1400B $70
What spectrum should I buy the COBs in? 3500k, 4000k, or one with additional lightning? Are there any additional supplemental lights I should buy or just those COBs?
Do I need the 180mm pin fin heatsinks or can I go smaller?
I plan to run the COBs at about 1050ma I think.
Meant to say CXB. Edited. I looked at a few kits and I rather save the $100 and just build it myself and source things from KingBrite. Appreciate the offer though. If I end up getting lazy then I'll look into a kit.Why CXA? When I can get you CXB I have that kit with reflectors pm me
